The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love ASICS shoes. They never let me down. Always so comfortable and stylish at the same time. Keep up to good work!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Ouch" The product was too shallow in depth at the heel, and as a consequence my feet kept bouncing up an down inside the shoe, causing injury.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoes I bought these shoes a month ago and at first was hesitant to but them because if the bad reviews on the 19s. I am a college distance runner and bought many pairs of the 18s and absolutely loved them. After the 19s got so many bad reviews I decided not to buy them and kept buying the 18s. When the 20s came out I was excited and hopeful that ASICS had fixed the issue with the last pair of shoes. After some negative reviews I decided the try them out and I’m glad I did because I really like them. The thing that is different is that in the 18s the bottom was made out of gel so they felt super cushioned when first trying them on. The 20s have a foam sole so they don’t feel quite as cushioned at first but eventually they mold to your foot and feel great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible compared 17 and 18 I am a nurse rely on gel nimbus for comfort. Nimbus 20 fail. Please go back to inside comfort fit of the 17 and 18. Nimbus 20 are hard as rocks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much stiffer than previous Nimbus’s Asics, what have you done to the Nimbus? :( I have been running in Nimbus’s for years, and I had to skip over the 19’s due to the very narrow toe box. I stocked up on 18’s and waited for the 20’s to come out. I finally tried on a 20 today in my local running store, and while the toe box seems to be back to where it had been pre-19, the sole of the shoe itself is very stiff. I know it is not an issue of breaking it in, because all of the older Nimbus’s felt like clouds as soon as I put them on. The 20’s feel like stiff boards. Sadly, I think I am going to have to move on to a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toe box still too tight I was super excited when I heard that Asics had widened the toe box on the Nimbus 20. Unfortunately, it's still not wide enough and I don't have wide feet. Asics were my go to running shoe for years. However, I've had to switch brands due to the narrow toe box over the past few years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous color I’m a huge fan of ASICS. Been buying multi pairs of 16, 17 and 18. I never purchased the 19 due to really negative sizing reviews. I’ve only had my 20 for a few days and just getting used to the completely different feel compared to my adored 18. So too early to really judge, but so far they seem much lighter than the 18 but also much stiffer. I bought the pink and they are gorgeous!! So far so good.
