Pronation is how a runner's foot rolls medially between footfall and toe-off. Underpronation is when the foot rolls outwards, overpronation is when it rolls inwards, and a neutral pattern is when little rolling occurs.

Matching a shoe's properties with the runner's running style will increase comfort, running efficiency, and contribute to decreasing the risk of injury.

Shoe Care

Shoe Care

CLEANING
Surface dirt such as mud and grit can be cleaned off with an old toothbrush or nail brush, a little warm water and a gentle anti-grease soap. This should take care of the dirt, and is fine to do once in a while.

WASHING
Don't wash your shoes in a washing machine. Remove the sock-liner or insole and wash it separately. This will help make the inside of your shoe fresher. Laces can be washed or replaced.

DRYING
Don't place them near a heating device such as a heater or radiator. Direct heat will alter the shape of the shoe. Open out the shoe and then stuff the inside with kitchen paper or newspaper. The paper will absorb the dampness inside the shoe. A shoe takes about twelve hours to dry out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly right for narrow heels. I relied on the customer review and took a chance on these shoes, as I too have narrow heels and wide feet. Perfect fit. Not tight on the heels, but snug enough to stop stones getting inside the shoe, and to stop my foot slipping forward. Also, heel backs are not too high to interfere with achilles tendon. Very happy customer. Can't comment on durability yet as I've only worn them three times, but did 10 miles on the last outing. Looking good, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid while light weight Before trying on the shoe I was suprised at how solid the material around heel was - I couldn't bend it at all. The shoe feels much lighter than the GT2000 range - but it's about the same weight. It also feels like less cushioning in this shoe compared to my GT's. First thing to notice when trying them on is what a snug and narrow fit. The shoe laces can be loosened. (I didn't need to.) Very narrow at the heel, (bit the ankles just a tiny bit!), snug around mid foot (can feel the support in the arch), and lots of room in the toe. (I have narrow, flat feet - so it felt unusual to find a proper fit for a change - I've grown accustomed to a wider shoe that's available) Being ultra conservative - I walked around the house a bit first - and then a walk off to the shops. At this stage I was concerned they were a bit too tight for short runs and not enough cushioning for the long run? Gave them a try in a very slow 5km, the heel is weighty compared to rest of shoe, pulled my foot into a more natural heel strike - and I was nicely suprised that the foot pain on top of left foot completely disappeared during and after the run. There is so much room in the toe and up to where the laces start. The top of the shoe is so light I can hardly feel the shoe on my foot in this area. (Too good to be true? When are the blisters due?) I decided to give them a go on my 18km prep for Half Marathon - what can I say? No foot pain, no issues. And felt confident to pick up the pace towards the end of the run. I like alternating shoes between runs - keeps things interesting - and I like experimenting with different running techniques on my shorter, slower runs, so this different style shoe fits in perfectly. Anyone that runs regularly, has a mostly neural pronation - (and narrow feet!) - needs ankle support, but room in the toes, then this is the shoe for you!!! (Ladies with not so narrow feet - may wish to give the men's sizes a try.) Colour choices are great - I may just have to stock up on another pair in case this type isn't made again! I'll post an update review after my Half Marathon in a month, so I've had some good use out of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very snug The fit is a little snug would recommend a half size above your usual size. But very supportive, ran 6k the first time out in them and no blisters even though they did nip the toes a little bit hoping they loosen off with a few more outings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very light shoe Liked the feel and lightness but unfortunately they were too small.
