Control of Personal Information

Recognizing the Significance of Personal Information, an Adequate and Secure Control is now in Place

　ASICS controls a variety of personal information, starting with our customer information, properly and securely with a full recognition of its significance and the need for protection. In April 2005, the company established ASICS Personal Information Control Policy and obtained the Privacy Mark in October 2006. These events signify that personal information is securely protected at ASICS.

　The company handles a variety of personal information from those of our customers and business partners, to those of our employees. Such information is regarded as individuals' intangible assets escrowed to us and we have spent a lot of effort in constructing an appropriate control system.
　Our efforts resulted in recognition of the company as "satisfying requirements for compliance programs in the field of protection of personal information" and ASICS Corporation has been approved for the Privacy Mark recognition in October 23, 2006.

　ASICS Personal Information Control Policy was established on April 1, 2005 and amended on August 24, 2006.

Personal Information Control Policy
    ASICS Corporation considers it a major obligation to securely control personal information and is determined to protect personal information by paying attention to the following.

    • The company's core business is the manufacture and sale of various sporting gear and leisure goods. The company will collect, use, and provide personal information adequately by giving consideration to the type and size of its business.

    • The company will make efforts to prevent unauthorized access to, loss, destruction, and alteration of personal information and, should any of these occur, take corrective action.

    • The company will observe the laws, regulations, and internal standards for handling personal information.

    • The company will continue to improve its compliance programs.
