The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied with this shoe My running consists of running on trails with varying size hills thrown in. Fit is of paramount importance. From the moment I put these shoes on, I loved how they felt and weighed. I immediately put them to the test and they are about 2 months in to some pretty grueling trail running with no durability issues. Going to stock up on this shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great update I have purchased the last 6 kayano series and have been disappointed with the last two. The redesign is fantastic from the heel to the more classic toe box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks Asics I run 5 miles every morning, I'm 6 foot 185 pounds so go through a lot of shoes. Always loved the Kayano's, my favorites were the 19 and 20 (the 21 was good just not as). Could not run in the 22 and 23 due to the terrible fit. Stocked up on the 19 thru 21's and still have about 5 pairs. Tried the 24's on recently and they fixed the toe fit! Purchased a pair and ran in them for a week and they fit great. I do see two issues that hopefully Asics will rectify next year. First, there isn't as much gel in the sole as the previous models so it runs stiffer, quite noticeable when hitting the ground. Also, I find it a little looser in the heel although it stays on okay. I do use an insert in my running shoes which may impact this. Even with those minor things I was quite comfortable after a week of running with the 24's and plan on purchasing another. Thanks Asic's for listening!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Comfortable than the Kayano 23s Great cushion and a bit more width in the toe box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe I bought a pair and they were so comfortable I bought two more pair. Very happy with these shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Running Shoe Ever This running shoe provides absolutely no arch support, it is made out of a flimsy material with no padding in the tongue. As a result when you tie it up the laces cut off your circulation. Also, there is virtually no room in the sneaker for an orthotic device.
