The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.

FluidRide® Midsole

ASICS FluidRide® midsole provides the ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning properties with reduced weight and exceptional durability.

Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Technology Cushioning Systems

Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

FluidFit® Upper

ASICS FluidFit® upper technology combines multi-directional stretch mesh with stretch reinforcements that adapt to the athlete's foot, creating a truly customized glove-like fit.

Heel Clutching System™ Technology

Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment.

Seamless Construction

The use of seamless materials reduces the potential for irritation and friction caused by traditional stitches and seams.

Discrete Eyelets

Independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension, creating a customized fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort.

Guidance Trusstic System™ Technology

This Trusstic System® Technology integrates Guidance Line® construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.

Guidance Line® Midsole Technology

Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.

Ortholite® Lasting

This lasting material features plush underfoot comfort while providing excellent moisture management and a high level of breathability (Ortholite is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC.)

Ortholite® X-40 Sockliner

This premium sockliner features higher rebound properties while providing excellent moisture management and a high-level of breathability (Ortholite is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC.)

Gender-Specific Cushioning

Women's models feature a lower-density top layer in the midsole, allowing female athletes to better enjoy the benefits of midsole compression.

Plus 3® Midsole Technology

3mm of additional height on women's models helps relieve achilles tension.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the cushion I love this shoe. It is soft but light and feels great on my foot where I recently had neuroma surgery. No pain at all! BUT....why have they sized these shoes so small?? I wear a normal shoe size 7.5, usually 8 in a running shoe. I had to buy a size 9 wide!! I've never worn a size 9 in my life. I'm only 5'1"! Overall great shoe if your looking for cushion, but be sure to try them on before you buy!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stop Changing Things! I've been an avid Gel Nimbus wearer since about 2010. Each new version got slightly more narrow in the toe box. The 19s are awful. After 10 pairs of Gel Nimbus shoes, I finally had to call it quits. These shoes are just too, uncomfortably narrow. Why must Asics change things for the worse?!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from runs narrow been wearing Asics Gel Nimbus for years and LOVED them. went to purchase new pair and I could hardly get my foot in it. normally size 9, tried a 9 1/2 and 10, still tight (narrow) purchased a new brand which is my new go to and cheaper. Sorry Asics but you lost my business.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too narrow and a half size small Why did you have to go and mess with the perfect shoe, asics? I bought a half size larger and they are still too narrow. Can you make these in a wide, please? Otherwise I'm going to have to switch brands. Sad!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable This was my first Asics purchase and I am in love! I was wearing Nike and being on my feet all day, I would have severe leg/feet pain in the evening. These GEL-Nimbus 19s are very comfortable and the color is flashy and unique. I also run and I can tell that these Asics will have my feet feel as if I am running on a cloud. If you're looking for a shoe that will be comfy and stylish, these are the shoes for you. I wear a size 10 in Nike, and I ordered a size 10 from Asics and they fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this shoe! I bought this shoe after owning lots of Asics. It's my favorite fit yet! I love the smaller toe box and cushion. For me, the colors are energizing. Just ran a half marathon and love, love, love this shoe! The 19's are the best - going to order another pair today!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Runs half a size small and has smaller toe box The 19's run half a size smaller than the previous versions. Even with ordering a half size larger and D (wide) width, the toe box is still too narrow for me with orthotics. I had 16's and 18's and they fit great and are super comfortable, but I can't wear the 19's as they are too tight. These are the only running shoes I can wear with my orthotics and I wear them to work. I really wish the D width shoes came in just neutral colours (blacks, greys, whites). The bright colours look really unprofessional with business casual clothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I've got some mixed feelings I've been running in these for the past month or so, and have some mixed feelings about them. Nothing terrible, but also I don't think I'd purchase again. I was previously wearing the GT Trainers and Gel-Noosas, in which I thought I wanted a shoe with a bit more cushioning for this round of marathon training. Some reviewers said they noticed their feet going numb when they first wore them, the same happened to me. I think this was mainly breaking the shoe in because there was so much cushioning! I switched the socks I wore to a super thin pair and it felt better, but still felt like occasionally I had to readjust the laces. The thing that really bothers me now tho, is tho I think the shoe is breathing okay, it doesn't feel like that at all. My feet feel very just like constrained and tight in there, as opposed to the lighter feeling I had in the other pairs. I think it's just the shoe and massive amounts of cushioning in it, but I am always super excited to get these off after a run. They also appear larger that the others (not like run big, just look big on my feet).
