The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Look Good I bought the Nimbus 19 when they first came out. I had to immediately return them and size up. Love the looks of them but hate the feel and design of this new nimbus. They still sit in the box and look brand new. I have worn Nimbus for so many years and they have always been my go to running shoe. Please ASIC go back to wider toebox.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring the old style Nimbus back! I fell in love with the Gel-Nimbus 17 for running purposes. I had never had such a comfortable shoe before, and its fit, cushioning, and arch support for my high arches was phenomenal. It seemed like a no-brainer to use this shoe for work as well since I am on my feet for almost 12 hours as a labor and delivery nurse, and I recommended them to many of my co-workers. When I bought the Gel-Nimbus 18, I already had to go up from a size 9 to a size 9 1/2 because the toe box had been changed and was way too narrow for my feet. Then, this year, I ended up properly fitting only into a size 10 - being a size 8 in regular shoes! After trying the shoes on in the store and walking around in them for a while, I decided against replacing my shoes with a Gel-Nimbus 19. Nothing about them reminded me of the Gel-Nimbus 17 with which I fell in love and which were so perfect for my feet. Please ASICS, bring back the awesome version of the Gel-Nimbus with its comfort, support, and way better fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Asics can do better I've been buying and wearing the Gel Nimbus for many years; however, the 19s are very disappointing. I don't think they are well cushioned and the toe box is smaller than the 18. I think the 18s are a much better shoe and are the quality I've come to expect from Asics. The 19s remind me of the Nimbus 13s or 14s that everyone hated. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed I have worn Nimbus shoes for the length of my nursing career and have never had a problem. The Nimbus 19 are incredibly uncomfortable. The fit seems different and cramped (despite ordering proper sizing). I regret this purchase and now I'm at a loss as to what shoe I'll buy to replace theses because I've worm Asics for so long :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the Nimbus 19 model No cushioning at all, after a long run in these shoes, my feet and knees hurt like I had been running in old shoes. I came home and took them off to put on my "old" Nimbus 18s to mow the yard and the 18s felt like they had soooo much more cushioning in them and they're a year old. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL Don't waste you money, just order a pair of the 18s and wait till Asics fixes the Nimbus style

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nimbus 19 This is a terrible shoe! The toe base is now way too narrow even when I order wide. No cushioning. My feet actually hurt now when I wear the nimbus 19!! Bad move asics!! I'll be shopping in a different brand- bring back the 18!!!! I've been wearing the nimbus for years. Very very disappointed in the 19!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the high tech look I am an Asics addict. I have heel spurs and lots of foot pain since i was a kid. (and now 2 knee replacements) I did have to go up a size over the past couple years but these shoes are great. I stand n walk 10 hrs/day. I have several pair of the 19. I think they are the best ones ever and I'm picking my next color. ASICs site is the best to buy from too. I also like the Kayano 24 better than previous.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nimbus Fans - resize on this one I am a Nimbus fan. Currently, have 4 pairs working (17, 2 18 and a 19) The Nimbus 19 is a totally different fit. I am usually an Asics 7.5 medium. My Nimbus 19 7.5 medium gave me heel blisters and a very sore hip. First time ever and I've worn Asics for decades! After visiting with a few folks, it's a known thing this 19 fit runs short in length, more narrow in toe box and much wider in heel. I've always liked the wider toe box and narrow heel of the Asics fit. Hopefully, this is just a manufacturing blip not a permanent change in fit design. I went up a size but not width and switched from an ultra thin sock to a padded sock. Not loving the 19 as much as previous versions but it works.
