Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. ASICS GEL-Quantum 360 is made for under, neutral.
  • OVER
Underpronation (Supination)
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Push Off
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
Considered Injuries
Plantar fasciitis, Shin splints, Ankle strain.
Foot Type
High arches
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
Foot Type
Normal size arches

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid running shoe I usually run in Kayano's, but decided to try this one for a fun change. It is a comfortable shoe. I ordered as 9.5, as I wear 9.5 Kayano's, but I felt like this is longer as I had more toe space and it made for an awkward fit. I've done a race in them and ran fine, but for me, it is not my favorite shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quantum 360 I am a nurse on my feet for most of my shift, work approx 60 hours a week. I have probably 5-6 pairs of Quantum 360 and my feet love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Crosstraining Shoe Great Price I recently stepped up the hunt for new multipurpose training shoes for my wide/flat feet. The hunt has been even more challenging lately because I prefer less bright colors. This shoe is lightweight enough for east coast summer workouts, but substantial enough to support my foot without arch (where my arch should be) discomfort. The heel is low enough to use for leg training and to keep me off the balls of my feet during cardio (I'm not a runner). Bonus- this shoe is much cuter for wearing around town than the functional but not-so-cute dad sneakers I normally wear. Asics, please keep this line around and offer more non-pink and purple options for women.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from helped with my back/knee pain I bought these shoes about 3 weeks ago, and I am very happy with my purchase! As with many shoes there is a "break in" period. Even going through that was a breeze, and they only seem to get more and more comfortable!! I am already looking to get another pair to keep in my car for backup. I've experienced lower back pain the last few months and already I can feel relief in my back since wearing these shoes. Also knee pain has been dramatically reduced. Poor genetics has left me with chronic knee pain, there is very little knee pain after running/walking all day. Very happy, thank you!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the support and cushioning I am not a runner, but am extremely active and on my feet all day. I log 15,000+ steps a day. I love these shoes, maybe even more than my Gel Nimbus 18's? It's a tough call. I used to suffer from plantar fasciitis, but since switching to the gel Asics, it has gone away completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shoe! I have feet problems and only buy Asics now because of the quality and durability. I power walk 4-5 miles a day. I love this shoe. Fit's perfectly with my orthodics and very comfortable. Worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shoe Usually when I run, I get the worst shin splints and calf cramps. I ran in them on day 1, and I didn't have a single pain in my legs! I've never spent this much on shoes before, but I had no idea what I was missing out on! Best shoe I've ever had!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! But... I bought this last year. Overall its a great shoe. It lasted longer than I expected. I walk a lot at work (minimun 8 hours a day). After a year of use, it still looked new but, the top of my right big toe started to have a hole. Maybe because the cotton is thin and it is where my big toe's nail gets in contact with. The same thing happened with my coworker who bought the same shoe for work (because I brag about my awesome shoes). She ended up buying a new one after less than a year because of the hole on the same location as mine. I will buy a replacement soon. I love this product! I just hope that the hole is not there because the inside/outside still looked great. I can still use it for another year if that hole is not getting bigger everyday.
