Severe Over
Pronation is how a runner's foot rolls medially between footfall and toe-off. Underpronation is when the foot rolls outwards, overpronation is when it rolls inwards, and a neutral pattern is when little rolling occurs.

Matching a shoe's properties with the runner's running style will increase comfort, running efficiency, and contribute to decreasing the risk of injury.

This evolution of DuoMax™ system enhances stability and support, with reduced weight and increased platform support.

Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Cushioning Systems

Heel Clutching System™ Technology

Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment.

Discrete Eyelets

Independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension, creating a customized fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort.

ComforDry™ Sockliner

Removable sockliner that provides cushioning performance and moisture wicking for a cooler, dryer, healthier environment.

Gender-Specific Cushioning

Women's models feature a lower-density top layer in the midsole, allowing female athletes to better enjoy the benefits of midsole compression.

Shoe Care

Shoe Care

Mud and dirt can be removed using a toothbrush, warm water and gentle, anti-grease soap. Apply light pressure when brushing to avoid damaging your shoe.

Do not wash your shoes in a washing machine. To help freshen the inside of your shoe, remove the sock-liner or insole and wash it separately. Laces can be washed or replaced.

Do not place your shoes in the dryer or near direct heat. The heat will alter the shape of the shoe. Instead, stuff the inside of your shoe with paper towels or newspaper. The paper will absorb the dampness inside the shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from shoe length changed I just received a pair of ASICS-GT-2000 4. This shoe is shorter than the older version. In the older version a size 8 gave me extra toe space but felt great. I will return shoe tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Marathon Distance Shoe I have been distance running in GT 2000 shoes for several years. I was so resistant to going up to a 10 from a size 9.5 because I've noticed that with most shoes the width gets wider too and I was concerned the heel would slip. After trying several models of Asics and one other brand, I returned to these shoes purchased the size 10 and COMFORTABLY ran 26.2 miles. Long story short...these size 10 fit EXACTLY like the previous years GT-2000 did in a size 9.5 and are even more comfortable! I was able to wear them for a Marathon brand new! No break-in needed! Thanks Asics!!!!! Only down side is I was afraid to try them because of the reviews. I give 5 stars!! Geeez people go up 1/2 size! You will be so glad you did!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible changes made to this previous awesome sho The medial side is no longer significantly higher the lateral side, which hurts us over pronators. Why did you change the sole? You moved production from China to Vietnam, changed the sole and also sizing is off. You ruined a previously phenomenal shoe. As a physical therapist, I used to recommend this show to over pronators. Sadly no longer. Bring back the older version!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cushy but too short in toe box I've been wearing this asics series since 2150 and sadly the changes since they moved to 2000 3 and now 4 are making me rethink this show. The 3s felt a bit long and wide and the 4s are too small in the toe box and I got my first blister from wearing Asics on the bottom of my toe from wearing these sneakers. Please go back to the version with more room in the toe. They are comfy but also the laces are too short.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful These shoes are awful! The previous model was the most comfortable shoe ever; Asics should really stick to what works...these ones couldn't be further from that. There's significantly less volume in the toe box, so even though the length is great, my feet feel squashed. The cushion under the toe is also terrible and painful Bottom line: these shoes are hideously uncomfortable and a waste of money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Material Not Durable! I bought this, my first pair on May 27th. I only wear it for walking, for approximately 1 to 2 hours per day. As you will see in the photo, the area where the right baby toe has worn out. The left is starting to fray a bit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GT changes are awful This shoe model has been ruined by changes. It's now a half size shorter and the toe box is narrower than previous models.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ouch! Asics will hopefully listen to all these horrible reviews and FIX the problem and go back to the old design. If it ain't broke...
