Comfortable, durable, and fast, the FUJISPEED™ shoe is functional for longer distances on the trails.
The upper is designed with a lightweight Nexkin material to increase durability against abrasions from rocks and roots. Meanwhile, the speed laces reduce pressure against the top of the foot while creating a supportive fit.

Trail Fast !
Initial review after an out of the box 5 miles on pack, dry trail.. I was very excited to try the FujiSpeed and the implementation of the Pebax plate in a trail shoe.. First off, these do fit on the small side, I use an orthotic insole so sized up 1 full size, without the insole a size up of a half size would be sufficient I think. The Nextkin upper feels great and extremely light weight with a good cushioned Flytefoam midsole surrounding the Pebax plate and finished off with the super reliable ASICSGrip outsole.
The shoe does feel fast on the trail with the subtle propulsion of the plate whilst still feeling responsive and in touch with the group. These will make an ideal race shoe for short to medium trail races, particularly on dry, packed trail to slightly soft terrain but I’ve yet to see how they would cope with very soft ground/deep mud with lugs at 4mm.

FAST & Grippy
These are a very lightweight grippy train shoe. The upper is incredibly thin and strong, lock in laces are excellent with a pouch to keep them tucked away safely. The ASICSgrip sole really is grippy over dirt and rocks will need to wait a few months to test them out in truly muddy conditions.
The only negative from me is that the toe box is a little narrow. I’m a uk 9.5 in all ASICS except for the racing flats where I am a 10 and these come up a little tighter than the other train and road shoes I have in a 9.5uk but not too tight that I need to go up a size.
