Experience lasting comfort with GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 running shoe. Packed with technologies to improve the performance of neutral runners, this iteration of this running shoe delivers a blend of cushioning and a responsive stride, featuring a softer GEL™ cushioning unit in the heel for excellent shock absorption.
Improved forefoot GEL™ technology further reduces the load on feet, while the FLYTEFOAM™ Propel technology in the midsole delivers more energetic ride. Featuring TRUSSTIC™ technology under the arch of the shoe, this thermoplastic piece provides stability, reduces weight and helps extend the life of the shoe.
The lightweight, engineered mesh upper allows your feet to experience improved breathability, while offering a supportive and adaptable fit. Designed with high mileage runners in mind, the GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 shoe implements more foam in the midsole to reduce the severity of harsh impact. Additionally, a lightweight AHAR™ outsole reduces the overall level of wear, allowing you to spend more time focusing on your running workouts.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, the GEL-NIMBUS™ 22 performance running shoe is designed to deliver soft cushioning and a more responsive stride.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-NIMBUS 22 is made for Neutral.

Are the uppers more durable than previous models?Gel Nimbus was recommended to me by a podiatrist. Bought Nimbus 17 which only lasted 2 months before both shoes had a hole in the upper fabric. These were replaced by the shop from where they were purchased. Within 6 months the uppers were again worn through. Given that they were never used for running, only everyday walking, I was very disappointed. However, as the podiatrist insisted I needed to wear Nimbus - as they are supposedly the best cushioned trainer available (?) - I then bought Nimbus 21. Despite the soles looking almost new the uppers are again defective. Really disappointed that such an expensive trainer is not lasting longer.

Very comfortable & LightweightThese trainers are cushioned but the weight is extremely light especially compared to how comfortable they are. I usually wear GT-2000 but running in these has made my think I may switch! I'd happily wear these for long slow runs or speed sessions as appear to be a good shoe for both.
Wide toe box which is great for me but they fit my heel snugly. I have the dark blue version which is a great winter colour and they have the nice petrol sheen on the heels.
Only con I could think of is that they might not be suitable for runners who prefer a low heel drop as these do have a good amount of cushioning.

Gel-Nimbus 22I was wearing Brooks’ Glycerin previously but they were needing replaced and I was suffering from a bit of ankle and knee pain. I didn’t like the updated model of the Glycerin so looked elsewhere. I was a bit unsure of the ASICS as previous reviews had described a narrower toe box and I need the opposite. The toe box may indeed be a tad narrower than I am used to but not uncomfortably so and I am delighted to say that the comfort these shoes provide is amazing. No knee or ankle pain and they literally feel like a cushion on my feet. I love them!

Best trainers ever I’ve bought! This is my first trainers from Asics and it will not be the last for sure. No exaggeration but this is the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned in my life. I have wide feet and it is hard to find both comfortable and stylish trainers but after trying these my feet felt like they were in heaven. The fit, design, quality of the material, everythimg is perfect. It is totally worth the price. I’m planning to save some money and get another one in a dark colour.

Need cushioning from
DisappointingI've been wearing Asics Gel Nimbus for at least six years as they are the only trainers that are cushioned and supportive enough that I don't get pain in my feet. I have to change my shoes every ~3 months so I go through them! I stocked up on 20's as they were the best but sadly am down to my last pair and now unable to find them in stock anywhere online, so I tried the 22's. They have sufficient cushioning and fit ok but they have a weird clumpy heel that completely alters my foot strike? I feel they are trying to be a fashion trainer not a proper high quality supportive cushioned running shoe and they are definitely not ok for my feet. Really sad as the 21's were no good either, hoping the 23's will be super cushioned and maybe they will be better

Lovely shoe designIt's a beautiful shoe, I thought it was a bit too snug but actually when I really loosened the laces it was just right. I can feel the bounce straight away and running on uneven surfaces is definitely less of a problem for me now. I'd highly recommend this design too. It's not as luminous as it might appear online but is fairly bright in the sun still.
