GEL-NIMBUS 20 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 279.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Huge fan, but bring back gel-nimbus 18 The gel-nimbus 20 is acceptable compared to the gel-nimbus19, but not as comfortable and wide as the 18. I've been a loyal Asics customer for years, but with recent changes, I'm concerned that I will have to look elsewhere. I know that others have expressed similar comments, but the nimbus 20 does not compare to the 18. As others have pleaded to bring back the 18 without success, I strongly urge Asics to listen to their loyal customers and reassess. Please bring back the design and fit of the gel-nimbus 18. I can't imagine that that is not feasible, especially considering customers commitment to the brand. Please reconsider.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much stiffer than previous Nimbus’s Asics, what have you done to the Nimbus? :( I have been running in Nimbus’s for years, and I had to skip over the 19’s due to the very narrow toe box. I stocked up on 18’s and waited for the 20’s to come out. I finally tried on a 20 today in my local running store, and while the toe box seems to be back to where it had been pre-19, the sole of the shoe itself is very stiff. I know it is not an issue of breaking it in, because all of the older Nimbus’s felt like clouds as soon as I put them on. The 20’s feel like stiff boards. Sadly, I think I am going to have to move on to a different brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the Gel-Nimbus 18, pretty please! I have been a loyal asics customer for years and years. I settled into the asics Gel-Nimbus 13 and have pretty much stayed with this shoe over the years. The Gel-Nimbus 18 was about as good as a shoe can get, and from the reviews that I have read, I am not alone in feeling this way. Change for the sake of change is not good.  Especially if you are swapping out the best shoe for something of lesser quality, fit and function. Please consider bringing this back as the Gel-Nimbus 20 does not offer the comfort, structure, and ride that the Gel-Nimbus 18 provided.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ordered TWICE too small I ordered the 19 two weeks ago In a 7, too small. Sold those brand new never worn, bought the 20 they just arrived, tried them on TOO SMALL even tho the true fit feature said these would fit and even with the “Improved Fit” notice. I have been wearing ASICS for ten years religiously now. It’s the only shoe I will wear but I am beyond disappointed. I am a very athletic person so I buy a lot of ASICS frequently. Ugh. I have to sell these too. I am so bummed. Not even sure what to do now. For the price you would think they would fit like they used to. So sad. Come on ASICS, get it together.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment I bought the 19's a few months ago and fell in love with them. I felt like my foot was on a cloud when I first put them on. I bought a 2nd pair of 19's and decided that the Nimbus series was definitely my shoe. How wrong was I! My 20's came in, and I couldn't wait to try them on - not only were my toes completely cramped, the shoe was the stiffest thing I've ever put on my feet before! Completely dissatisfied with them. Sent them back immediately, and I'm hoping to find another style that works for me. The ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the Indigo Blue/Opal Green colors look great in person.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back the 17! I have been wearing the Nimbus since the 15’s when I found I had Lyme disease. The cushion in the 15,16, &17 were amazing and have not been able to find another shoe to replace that. Didn’t but the 18 or 19 because they were horrible and decided to try the 20. Bought the grey and pink- and though they are better than the 19, the shoe is not a “Nimbus” in my opinion. Hard, seemingly no real cushion and I have to buy an entire size larger than I normally would wear. Doesn’t matter if the shoe is lighter if it hurts my feet. So, I cleaned up my old 17’s and have been wearing those around because they feel like gushy heaven on my sore feet, ankles and knees. C’mon Asics! Just why?!?!? Please bring back the engineering of the 17’s!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same as previous models I have worn three pairs of this shoe, most recently the 16 and 17 models. I bought a new pair because of the comfort I had enjoyed with these. This shoe is just not the same and I am in the market for a new shoe. The "feel" is much harder and after a few hours of wear, my toes begin to cramp. They are a great color but that doesn't count for anything if they aren't comfortable and wearable. Sadly, I am done with Asics and now, with a new pair of shoes in the closet. must buy another pair of shoes. I started buying Asics when I had a problem with plantar fascitis and those first 3 pairs of shoes were great. Too bad.Just not the same.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back the Nimbus 17! I was extremely disappointed with the 19's, so I was hoping the 20's would be a return to the heavenly comfort and cushioning like the 17s and 18s were. But that was not the case. They are better than the 19s with a slightly wider and more comfortable toe box . But they lack the cushioning of earlier models which was friendly on my knees with logging so many miles week after week. Asics, why must you mess with a good thing....bring back the design and make of the Nimbus 17 and 18.
