The MAGIC SPEED™ shoe is made for racing or regular training runs. It offers the versatility you need to move your body and your mind towards a new personal best. Designed to propel your foot forward, GUIDESOLE™ technology is combined with a carbon forefoot plate. This creates a smooth rolling sensation as you move through your stride.
Traditionally, when you add more foam to a shoe, you add more weight. By stacking the mid-sole with FF BLAST™ cushioning, this material adds a responsive feel to your step while keeping the shoe lightweight.

This is my first carbon shoe and it was amazing. Super light and comfortable and priced more reasonable that other options

Good shoe
Good comfy shoe but bit bigger to size with toe box too big for me and not wrapping my feet as I like

Great for interval training
I like this shoe, it feels supportive but with the carbon forefoot plate its provides the responsiveness you need. After a few miles I do find it quite hard on the forefoot but I am used to a springy shoes like the metaspeeds

ASICS Magic Speed
Very responsive and well made shoe. Great for those long training days. My only complaint is the tongue is super thin. Easy to fold it under and cause some hot spots on the top of your foot.

Great for faster training and race days
Ran in these twice since I got them, 1 easy and a Fartlek with a mix of easy, threshold and marathon paces. Definitely a shoe for speedy sessions. Very comfortable and with decent enough width in the toe box for me. I could feel the carbon plate and the rocker feeling in the midsole.
I’d recommend it as a racer or for use in speedier workouts. Great value for money, taking in consideration it has a carbon plate in it. Excited about the next iteration already.

Great Shoes for Longer Distance Running
After running the Gel DS Trainer for several years (and before that the GT 2000), I tried the Magic Speed, and I am thrilled with them. The sizing on Asics, I discovered, is not consistent. But thankfully, they exchange at no cost. I run three times a week, between 4.5 and 15 miles. Compared with the DS Trainer, the Magic Speed is better cushioned, making the run smoother. I can’t testify to any speed change or that the shoes propel the runner - one still has to do the running, no matter what the marketing people say.

Magic Speed - Magically gets too Hot on a long Run
I usually wear Air Max running shoes for extra bounce and comfort. I used Asics Gel shoes in the past they were perfect for my needs. This time I went for the name "Magic Speed" for my first ever Great Manchester 10K Run. for the 1st 5k it was perfect for me and I completed my target under 30 minute, it is very light weight and comfortable. But after 5K run its sole got very hot and uncomfortable for feet and my speed dropped and I fell short from keeping my pace and completed remaining 5K in 35 Minute with a great struggle.

Very responsive ground feel, good transfer to forw
This was my first carbon plate shoe, and I am an ASICS loyalist. Currently rotating through Kayano 27, Hyper Speed and Sortiemagic LT2. The fit of the Magic Speed with a little more snug and rigid than those others for the first run or two, but then everything seemed to feel right. I religiously limit my running minutes to steer clear of overuse injuries, and when I exceed my those limits, I usually feel the penalty right away. The Magic Speed is the first shoe that I felt okay with a little overtime, with no ripple effects the next few days. I'm not sold on the carbon plate vs. traditional yet, but I am definitely impressed with the first few weeks.
