Product Details

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GT-1000 7 is made for Overpronation.

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No support I have ran in Asics GT1000’s go the past 7 years. I average 45-50 miles a week. I was disappointed when the shoe went from a GT1000 5 to 6. The toe box was too tight. The GT10000 7 is a totally new design so the toe box is fine, the cushion is great but the upper of the shoe gives the runner no stability. So I must return them. Unfortunately, I will buy every GT 1000 5 I can find and then will have to look for another shoe. Please stop redesigning shoes that aren’t broke. I will say the GT 10000 7 is probably fine if you are a walker, but I don’t recommend if your looking for a stability shoe in your run. This she is the only Asics I found that did not have the high arch on the insole. Unfortunate

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as advertised I bought these shoes because I've been wearing a pair of sneakers that aggravated a corn on my little toe, and I had previously purchased (a couple of years ago) a pair of ASICS wide shoes that led to the corn subsiding. Wide is usually too wide for the rest of my foot. These, however, were not "wide" in the toes and I sent them back. Very disappointed, as I usually like ASICS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good shoe I wear after having bunion surgery I bought these to wear after having bunion surgery on both feet. They give you lots of room in the toe box area, heel fits good. I would like to have alittle more instep support but I probably ordered a size too big

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought my ASICS GT 1000-7 a month ago, believe me these shoes are the most comfortable ASICS I have ever bought in my life! The shoes have great support and I strongly recommend them for people who have planter fascistis. I love them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I could feel my keep rolling inward with each step I have been a long time user of the gt 1000 line. I have flat feet and I'm prone to plantar fasciitis. This line offers quality affordable stability shoe. However, I am very disappointed with the updates made to v7. I absolutely love the way they look! However, as soon as I try them on and started walking I could feel there is little to no arch support. I didn't even bother taking them out for a test run. I'm returning the shoes, which again is disappointing since they love the way they look and was very much looking forward to owning them. Gt 1000 5 had an amazing feel! It's a real shame that you had to make so many changes. If anyone is interested, Asics started making a GT Express line. I bought one pair of these as well as a pair of GT 2000 6. I have found that the express offers great support compared to the rest of the GT line. Unfortunately, aesthetically they are not so hot. I plan on checking out other stability shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Feet The ball of my foot is wide and I tend to rip the stitching of the shoe in this location within the first week of use. I am happy that these sneakers do not have stitching in this location, so I haven’t ruined them within the first week. They are comfortable for everyday wear and running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe for over pronation. I use ASICS for running but my oldest daughter plays varsity volleyball and has flat feet. Rather than go through the process of buying endless orthopedic insoles, she has enjoyed a shoe that instantly addresses her medical condition. Thank you ASICS for making pronation a high priority in your production line.
