Kids can enjoy excellent comfort and advanced support with the new GEL-KAYANO 27 GS running shoe.
A new breathable upper mesh helps keep young runners' feet cool, while the sole is more flexible to help promote a more natural roll through the gait cycle. At midstance, the foot should stop pronating and re-supinate for an efficient toe-off. To help this natural motion, we incorporate DYNAMIC DUOMAX technology to help support the foot and increase stability for runners whose feet roll inward too much (overpronate).
Lastly, a large section of reflective material in the rearfoot helps young runners stay more visible in low-light conditions.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-KAYANO 27 GS is made for Overpronation.
Low arches or flat feet
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
This evolution of DuoMax system enhances stability and support, with reduced weight and increased platform comfort.
A one-layer engineered mesh minimises rubbing between the foot and the upper to create a super snug, glove-like fitting experience. A unique combination of closed and open weave patterns optimises flexibility and breathability.
Our lightest midsole ever. Its organic fibres bounce back into its original shape in the space of each stride to provide perfect cushioning from the start of your run to the finish.
Shock absorbing material placed in forefoot and rearfoot of shoe. Shape of units designed for special function under the ball and heel of the foot.
Longitudinal groove that decouples tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
The internal plastic structure of the shoe which wraps around the heel of your foot. It holds the heel in position during the movements of running improving support.
A thicker wrapped solid rubber toe with excess area to allow a stitch to hold the piece onto the upper under high stress.
Moulded compound under midfoot area. Provides a controlled and contoured midsole while improving arch support and torsion stability.
