The GLIDERIDE shoe is a revolutionary product that lets runners run farther with less effort, thanks to the optimisation the phases of the gait cycle, from foot strike to toe-off. First, improved cushioning reduces muscle fatigue at foot strike. Second, the stiff forefoot and dynamically curved sole, which is accentuated through the running stride, increase running efficiency by reducing the movement of the ankle joint. Too much ankle movement at speed wastes energy.
These characteristics combine to give customers a different experience from what they typically feel in a running shoe. The rolling motion of this shoe actually propels the foot forward, saving the runner energy. It’s something you have to feel to believe.
The sole of the GLIDERIDE shoe is called GUIDESOLE technology and is made with two layers of foam—a firmer layer of FLYTEFOAM technology over a thin layer of FLYTEFOAM propel technology. The FLYTEFOAM technology provides cushioning while helping to give the sole structure. The FLYTEFOAM propel technology adds a bit of softness and bounce to the heel. Also in the heel, an insert of rearfoot GEL technology cushioning is optimally placed between the two layers of foam for added protection.
GUIDESOLE technology combines these innovative midsole foams and a rocker sole design to give the runner a soft landing and more efficient stride for the long run.
