Whether it's tempo runs, long runs, or racing, the EVORIDE™ 2 shoe is built for neutral and supinated runners focused on conserving energy. Our intent with the second iteration of this series was to preserve the shoe's easy forward rolling properties while reducing the overall weight and softening the cushioning underfoot.
By revamping the toe box with a more anatomical fit, this shoe can fit into a broader range of runner rotations while encouraging a smoother and more pronounced toe spring from footstrike to toe-off. Additionally, the shoe's engineered mesh upper is designed with a multi-directional stretch mesh that adjusts better to the foot's natural shape. Following a more sustainable design approach, this shoe also uses fewer resources to color the sockliner.
This neutral running style is built on the METARIDE™ shoe philosophy, which aims to lessen the overall load via its curved sole and stiff forefoot. These elements increase running efficiency by reducing the ankle's movement, which helps runners feel fresher for longer durations. Designed to create a comfortable ride, the shoe's midsole incorporates FLYTEFOAM™ technology, which gives the runner a lightweight feel and more cushioning across longer distances. Lastly, the outsole also features AHARPLUS™ technology that's strategically positioned in higher contact areas to improve the shoe's durability.
A women’s standard shoe width is B, a wide fit is a D and wider again is 2E. In New Zealand the most common shoe width size* for women in running shoes is a D fit. Find out more about widths.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The EVORIDE 2 is made for Underpronation, and Neutral.

What type of shoes are you looking for?
Men and women have different needs to support their gait, foot structure, and biomechanics. ASICS designs gender-specific running shoes to improve performance, comfort and safety.
Where will you be running?
If the majority of your running takes place off road, trail shoes can provide performance and safety that road designed shoes cannot.
What is more important to you?
Built for distance, these shoes have extra cushioning - providing more protection. You love to challenge yourself to run for longer.
Built for speed, these shoes are lighter for a more responsive ride. You love to run fast, train for speed and feel like flying.
Do you need extra support?
Pronation is the natural movement of your feet while running. Stability shoes are for runners who overpronate (your foot rolls inwards when you land)
For underpronators and neutral runners who are predisposed to an outward or neutral rolling motion as the foot progresses toward toe-off.
Research shows that around 4 in 5 runners risk injury in shoes that don't suit their running style.
Pronation is the natural movement of your feet while running. Stability shoes are recommended for runners who overpronate, which means your foot rolls inwards when you land. For more information, visit our Pronation Guide.
What level of comfort would you like?
All runners have different cushioning preferences. The more cushioning, the softer the ride.
ASICS has developed innovative cushioning technologies that are strategically placed to reduce impact. By minimising impact, our cushioning technologies increase the level of comfort and give you an even softer ride.
