The GEL-DS TRAINERâ„¢ 26 running shoe is the recommended choice for runners covering shorter distances who want to go fast. The shoe helps you achieve those running goals with an improved upper fit that moves seamlessly with the runner's natural motion.
Updated with a soft and flexible knit upper, this application helps the shoe move more naturally with the runner's foot. Accented with a series of reflective details, this design element is practical for runners who are training in low-light conditions. Added support stems from the updated sockliner, which naturally contours to the foot's shape while improving comfort. Following a more sustainable design approach, this shoe also uses fewer resources to color the sockliner.
The PROPULSION TRUSSTICâ„¢ technology in the outsole mirrors the foot's ligaments, creating a powerful lever to propel your stride. Functional for overpronators, the shoe's DUOMAXâ„¢ technology on the medial side of the midsole helps reduce the foot's pronounced inward roll and improves support.
GELâ„¢ technology cushioning improves shock absorption, while the FLYTEFOAMâ„¢ midsole material provides a soft and supportive feel from footstrike to toe-off. Formulating a smoother transition throughout your stride, this shoe is also complemented with an AHARPLUSâ„¢ heel plug to improve durability and expand its lifespan.
A women’s standard shoe width is B, a wide fit is a D and wider again is 2E. In New Zealand the most common shoe width size* for women in running shoes is a D fit. Find out more about widths.

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-DS TRAINER 26 is made for Neutral, and Overpronation.
Normal size arches
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
The foot lands on the outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Low arches or flat feet
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber.
A dual-density midsole system positioned to enhance support and stability.
Our lightest midsole ever. Its organic fibres bounce back into its original shape in the space of each stride to provide perfect cushioning from the start of your run to the finish.
Reduces impact during heel strike and allows for a smooth transititon. Shape of units designed for special function under the heel of the foot.
Mimics connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as foot enters propulsion stage.
Multi-directional knit material improves ventilation and stability.
