Designed For Overpronation

Overpronation
-
Foot Type
Low arches or flat feet -
Push Off
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work. -
Considered Injuries
Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs. -
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
Less weight, enhanced cushioning, and more energy with every step, the GT-2000™ 6 model delivers optimized performance and high-mileage durability. A widened forefoot accommodates bunions and reduces irritation, while the upper incorporates a better heel-fit to keep you locked down plus improved toe-spring for a smoother transition. The DuoMax® support system and heel-to-toe GEL® cushioning offer protective stability that absorbs shock on any surface.

The greatness of the shoe
This a great stability show. I am a nurse and avid runner. I also suffer from plantar fasciitis, wearing these shoes my feet don’t hurt after my shift or a 3-4 mile run. Sadly my work ones have to be changed about every 90-100 day

Great shoe
After writing a pretty bad review of the GT-1000 7 earlier this year I am happy to report that the GT-2000 6 is an excellent shoe and worthy of the GT name. The GT-1000 underwent a drastic change for version 7 and ASICS didn't really acknowledge this. In fact, the website photos of the various shoe features don't even match the actual shoe. This was a huge disappointment for me as I've been running in GTs for more than 25 years. The GT-2000 6 on the other hand sticks with the formula. I'm not going to say it's for everyone. But if you've liked GTs in the past, your going to like this one. The shoe is pretty plush. The features we've grown accustomed to are there. And the materials are top notch. I'm getting ready to replace them now but after 400 miles of use.

Umm...no
I’d go for the Kayanos if looking for a support shoe. These just don’t cut it for me.

Good support
Shoe fits tru to size. I have flat feet and purchased this shoe for that reason. I added a redi thotic as an arch support. The combination definitely helps my heel spur and plantar fasciitis. I do not run. I wear these to work on concrete floors. Good shoe at a good price.
