The GEL-TRABUCO™ 9 shoe has been re-engineered from top to bottom to assert itself as an all-around trail pioneer. Rugged and comfortable are the two terms that best describe this trail running shoe. It's for the off-road runner seeking excellent durability, protection, and grip.
After reimagining the shoe’s upper, this version weighs in at approximately one ounce (30gm) less than its predecessor. The advanced comfort comes from the FLYTEFOAM™ midsole material that's coupled with GEL™ technology cushioning in the heel.
Equipped with a DUOMAX™ support system that creates a more stable ride, this placement of foam on the medial side of the midsole offers a firmer density that keeps the foot from rotating inward too much (overpronation). The lugged outsole pattern features ASICSGRIP™ rubber while incorporating an uphill and downhill lug pattern on the lateral and medial side of the shoe to improve traction on slippery terrain. Additionally a rock protection plate helps the outsole stay flexible and shield the foot from abrupt terrain or trail debris.
The GEL-TRABUCO™ 9 shoe is designed to help you fly through the trails with advanced traction both uphill and downhill, while the responsive midsole foam creates better propulsion throughout your off-road recon.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-Trabuco 9 is made for Overpronation.
Low arches or flat feet
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Feet hurts after a few hoursI’ve heard a lot of great things about ASICS, but My feet, mainly my heel starts to hurt after 3h from wearing them. I read these can also be used as walking shoes and I wear them at work and after 3h of walking and standing my feet hurt. After the end of the day I can barely walk. They felt great when I first tried them but am very disappointed, especially since they aren’t cheap and we’re so bad.

Perfect for multi surface runningI've been trying these for a couple of runs and they're my favorite trail shoe yet. The shoe is comfortable and supportive. It’s lighter than its predecessor which makes it more mobile. It has great traction and grip and does a terrific job to help me master any uneven or slippery terrain. I feel safe and secure and they really boost my running ability even on snow mushy or icy urban roads.
