PRE-RACE ACTIVITY 1 - RELAY IN 1 UTAMA


Have you ever taken part in a run inside a mall?

ASICS Relay is presenting a unique, one-of-a-kind experience of running inside a mall!

Join us for an interesting sneak preview of the ASICS Relay in 1 Utama Mall on the 22 July 2018.

Our pre-race activity will bring you along an immersive journey of running inside a mall along with a preview of how the relay race works!

Not a big fan of running but still would like to get your heart pumping? Join our exciting classes by our instructors from Celebrity Fitness! 


Date: 22 July 2018 (Sunday)

Time: 7.30am to 8.00pm

Venue: Inside 1 Utama, Level 1 (Parkson Store) - Enter from the Main Entrance at the New Wing. 

Cost: Free. It's totally on us! (While we hope to see you at ASICS Relay Malaysia, you do not need to be a participant to register for this activity.)

7.30am to 8.00am - Registration check-in

Mark your attendance at our booth. Learn more about ASICS Relay and approach us with your questions!

8.00am to 9.30am – Relay in 1 Utama starts

We kick start the exclusive closed door event of running inside a mall!

As this is a sneak preview of ASICS Relay Malaysia, the concept of this run will be similar to what you'll expect on race day! The difference is that as a team of 4, you will be completing 8km (instead of 21km or 42km on race day). 

Prior to the start of the run, participants will be sorted into teams of 4. If you come as a group of 4 friends, you can form your own team! Each runner will run 2km. 

There will be an announcement to inform runners to proceed to Level 2 to start the relay run.

The 1st runners will each be given a relay token and will run with it for 2km. As they end their run, they will run into the Transition Area and pass their relay tokens to the 2nd runners. This repeats for the 3rd runners. The run will end when the 4th runners cross the finish line.


9.30am to 10.00am – Refreshments & Lucky Draw

End off the activity with some drinks and light bites and stand a chance to win prizes with our lucky draw!


10.00am to 11.00am – Preparation for a run - Taping Session with Sanctband Active

Learn about the best practices to prepare for a fast run. Sanctband Active will be hosting a taping session and will guide you through the process!


11.00am to 12.30pm – Sports Massage Session Session by Dynamique (5 to 10mins per person)

Enjoy a sport massage post run by Dynamique! Sport massages provide an overwhelming benefit for all athletes.

Let us help you to prepare for your best performance and alleviate any tension before race day at ASICS Relay Malaysia.


2.00pm to 3.00pm – Fitness Session by Celebrity Fitness: STRONG by Zumba

Head down to enjoy the STRONG by Zumba class! It's a high intensity class designed to excite you with the fun and vibrant workout style!


3.00pm to 4.00pm – Fitness Session by Celebrity Fitness: Body Combat

Work it out with body combat! Extremely popular and action-packed, body combat will challenge you and empower you to unleash yourself


4.00pm to 5.00pm - Fitness Session by Celebrity Fitness: Zumba

We end off the pre-race activity with Zumba. Let’s join Celebrity Fitness for Zumba! Feel how the aerobic dance routines ignite your energy and groove to the beats!


5.00pm to 6.00pm - Healthy Snacking with Amazingraze

Amazin’ Graze is a local snacks innovator with a mission to change the way that people snack. Learn how to make Chia Seed Pudding, a dessert loaded with nutrients from Amazingraze's team member.


6.00pm to 7.00pm - Recovery Foam Rolling Techniques with Sanctband Active


7.00pm to 8.00pm - Stretching Techniques for Runners (Post-Running) with Sanctband Active
