The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Push Off
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.

How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
Foot Type
Normal size arches

A sockliner which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.

Ortholite® X-40 Sockliner

This premium sockliner features higher rebound properties while providing excellent moisture management and a high-level of breathability (Ortholite is a registered trademark of ATP Manufacturing LLC.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes These shoes are soooooo comfortable. I feel like I'm walking/running on a cloud.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design flaw Shoe started out great. After wearing for a few weeks, the left shoe upper area started digging into my foot. That area where the shoe creases through walking and running. Appears the inner soft skeleton aligns with the discomfort. Design flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent comfort and improved speed Have used this product for 6 months and bought a backup pair for future. Excellent comfort on long runs, best shoe used during past 13 years of running with Asics products. This one fits perfect and running speed improved with less weight compared to other Asics shoes used in past.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Close, but not for me I partially trained, and then ran a marathon with Dynaflyte2. The other training was in my Kayano24's. Liked running with a lighter shoe, but not the same comfort as my Kayano's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Longer Fits Like A Glove The Dynaflyte v1 was one of my all-time favorite shoes. It was light, comfortable, stable in the rear, and fit like a glove. I owned 5 pairs and ran over 2000 miles in them. The Dynaflyte 2 regresses. The good news is that it actually looks pretty good in person, and the laces hold knots better. But everything else is worse. The toe box material is "baggier" and ripples up when you try to tighten things down, so your forefoot ends up moving around more. The heel doesn't have the same "locked in" feeling that the v1 did. It feels lower and looser, where the old shoe supported your ankle. And the last straw for me was the new clicking noise that comes with every step. I ran 60 minutes today trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. It sounds like the little hand clickers they use in Band of Brothers to communicate with each other. The sole and mid-sole look the same as before, but something must have changed. The sound drives me nuts, and I can't get it to stop. Anyway, I won't be putting 2000 miles in on the Dynaflyte 2. I'm going to stockpile the original v1 for the next year and hope that Asics fixes the issues with the upper and gets rid of that ridiculous clicking noise.
