The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Pronation

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. ASICS fuzeX Rush CM is made for under, neutral.

Underpronation (Supination)
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Push Off
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
Considered Injuries
Plantar fasciitis, Shin splints, Ankle strain.
Foot Type
High arches
Neutral
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
Foot Type
Normal size arches

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable The last pair of running shoes I bought form Asics was a pair of the Gel-Noosa Tri 9 shoes. I loved them! I was excited when I got these because of the design, but look doesn't do much for comfort. Besides running small (I wear a size 8 and got a size 9), these shoes became more uncomfortable each time I wore/ran in them. The foam bottom was not durable at all when, less than 30 miles in, the foam material had compressed, providing little support. This caused my feet to be in a lot of pain whether I walked <2 miles or ran <1. In addition, parts of the shoe's sole would start coming off, indoors with little scrapes on hardwood, or outside with a bump into the sidewalk. I enjoyed my last Asics, so I know that it is not the brand, but the seemingly cheap material and design of this particular shoe. Of all the athletic shoes I've owned with varying support (For running/distance track, general training, volleyball, and tennis), this is the shortest lasting pair I've owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The last pair of running shoes I bought form Asics was a pair of the Gel-Noosa Tri 9 shoes. I loved them! So, I asked for another pair of Asics for Christmas. I enjoyed my last Asics, and I bought this brand every year I played volleyball, so I know that it is not the brand, but the seemingly cheap material and design of this particular shoe. Maybe this is for someone who doesn't need a lot of support and isn't going to put much use into the shoe? I do have light/moderate pronation on my right foot, which means I maybe would not have bought this product myself to begin with. That still being said, of all the athletic shoes I've owned with varying support (For running/distance track, general training, volleyball, and tennis in a variety of brands/styles), this is the shortest lasting pair I've owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tight fitting This shoe was tight fitting and felt bulky compared to my last pair of Asics. I had to return them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe...different sizing After reading some reviews, I decided to buy a half size bigger than I had in the past and I am glad! This shoe is definitely a smaller fit and is a bit stiff at first but wears in nicely after a few days. Love the color and have gotten a lot of compliments at work!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not wide enough I am generally satisfied with this shoe. But a women’s 11 is too long for my foot and a 10 isn’t wide enough. I really only wear 10s bc a 9.5 isn’t wide enough either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I bought them about a month ago! I love them. They are comfortable, and I do a pretty high impact workout! I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them!
