Go further than you thought possible with the men's GEL-CUMULUS® 21 performance road running shoe by ASICS. Designed to cushion and support your feet over long distances, this shoe boasts FLYTEFOAM® Propel technology for excellent bounce and energy. The combination of rear and forefoot GEL® technology means you benefit from a level of shock absorption not available in many other shoes, while GUIDANCE LINE™ technology enhances your gait efficiency and the internal heel counter holds your foot in position no matter how far you go. Further support comes from I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) technology which enhances your natural gait as you move, and the EVA sockliner that molds to the shape of your feet for added comfort. The highly resistant AHAR® rubber compound reduces wear at key impact areas of the outsole, making this a performance running shoe that you can really count on as you look to reach new levels. Ventilation is provided by the engineered jacquard mesh upper, so you can rest assured that your feet will remain cool even when your run heats up. Reflective details on the outside of the shoe ensure you'll be noticed, even at lower light levels. With this exciting new design of the GEL-CUMULUS® 21 shoe in your running bag, you'll be able to take on those extra miles in comfort and style.
Pronation
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-CUMULUS 21 is made for Underpronation and Neutral.

Great Shoes for Sensitive Knees
This is my second pair of Cumulus-21. I use them for walking and everyday use with arthritic knees. These hold up extremely well, better than mesh shoes used to on the outside. The gel has always been the best part of these shoes. I've been a fan of Asics for at least 15 years.

Comfortable running shoe
Comfortable running on various surfaces. Cushioned sole, upper is a bit flimsy compared to venture. Tie tightly to prevent slipping.

Wow
Very comfortable shoe. I was surprised. After all day wearing them I was thinking I should have bought a pair sooner. Already looking for my next pair.

Fell apart
I started wearing these at the end of June and by December there was a huge hole where my big toe was! Fell apart totally in 6 months. Asics cust service said that this was usual wear and tear.

Great Shoe
So far so good. I have been using Merrell and New Balance minimalist shoes for a while now and they are great but I needed something that was going to last longer. I used these when running track in college and remembered that I could get at least a year out of them before they wore down. It is hard to say right now how long they will last but I have always had good experiences with Asics and am stoked to have a pair again.
