GEL-CUMULUS 22
We Recommend
Designed For Underpronation Neutral

Underpronation
-
Foot Type
High arches -
Push Off
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot. -
Considered Injuries
Plantar fasciitis, shin splints, ankle strain. -
How your foot contacts the ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

Neutral
-
Foot Type
Normal size arches -
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot. -
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury. -
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
The GEL-CUMULUS® 22 running shoe is a recommended choice for neutral runners who want a soft and flexible everyday trainer with a great fit. This update features a one-piece mesh upper that's combined with a seamless 3D print construction to improve support and comfort around the foot. The FLYTEFOAM® technology in the midsole is softer than the previous version to promote a pillowy ride. Under the heel where the foot first hits the ground has been redesigned to isolate impact while the new heel design's deeper forefoot flex grooves and softer midsole foam create a smoother ride. Lastly, a hard-wearing AHAR® rubber outsole compound has been placed in key contact areas to help the GEL-CUMULUS® 22 shoe stand up to a ton of miles.

My go-to running shoe for years
My go-to running shoes. Good for my 100 miles per month road running. Always fit well, break in fast, and last for 400-ish miles without issues.

Fits narrow/tight
It’s narrow (didn’t purchase for narrow feet) so at first it feels hard to put on and tie properly. I had to give out almost all the laces to a point I had very little left to tie with. It does get a little better with use but still feels kinda tight. Have to wear thin socks. And going larger in size would then be too big lengthwise. So kinda feels like there’s too much compression.

Like Walking on Clouds Compared to Others!
Need wearing these for 15 yrs. They fit my wide foot, comfortable on long runs, and stable enough for HIIT training.

gel cumulus
Not like my other cumulus and the depth of the shoe does not even accomodate an orthotic unfortunately. I will not buy these again.
