How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
The GEL-EXCITE™ 9 (Wide) shoe is a comfortable trainer for the casual fitness runner. Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot. A combination of AMPLIFOAM™ cushioning and GEL® technology are placed in the midsole. These features provide better impact absorption with a more forgiving landing at footstrike.

Left not the same as right
I found the right shoe on both pairs I ordered fit perfectly the arch support was where it was supposed to be but the left shoe on both pairs of shoes the arch support was not in the correct place and it felt like there was a bump or some thing in the bottom of the shoe.

So comfy!

Great running shoe
