The lightweight GEL-FUJITRABUCO™ SKY trail shoe is a recommended choice if you want to run fast off-road. Developed with three-time UTMB winner Xavier Thevenard, this shoe's design approach focused on weight and drainage. It has a flexible plate under the forefoot that allows runners to move quickly over rough rock and root-strewn trails. The upper is reinforced along the base of the shoe to help keep trail debris from entering the interior. Additionally, the GEL-FUJITRABUCO™ SKY trail model features elastic laces for added comfort and easy adjustments on the fly. A key design element is the placement of small holes in the sole and sockliner, which use the natural motion of the foot to quickly and efficiently push water out of the shoe and away from the foot. The outsole features a trail-specific traction pattern with lugs precisely oriented on the medial side for the uphills and under the heel and lateral side for the descents. The outsole rubber formulation is also specifically designed to grip even better on wet trail surfaces.

Designed For Neutral Overpronation

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • Considered Injuries

Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
  • Small holes in the sole and sockliner push water out of the shoe
  • Trail Specific Outsole
Reversed lugs provide uphill and downhill traction on all types of terrain.
  • GEL® Technology

A pocket enabling the laces to be tucked in and unexposed.
  • Rock Protection Plate
Flexible forefoot plate that provides protection against stone bruising and high impact on the trail
  • SpEVA® Lasting
Full length SpEVA® lasting material for a soft platform feel and improved comfort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Asics It’s a gimmick. The laces are a gimmick. Don’t buy these shoes. And ASICS are the only running shoes I have worn for the past 10 years

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great shoes, run very small Nice shoes but they fit very very small, I usually wear an 11 in Asics and should have purchased an 11.5 if not a 12 in these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tight Shoes The gel fujitrabuco sky shoes are much smaller than gel noosas, gel Kayanos or Novablasts in the same size. They even come in a smaller box. I couldn’t even get them on my feet. Consequently I really can’t provide a meaningful review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light trail shoes I like the fact that these are very light for trail shoes—close to my racing flats. They're good on tricky terrain.
