Enjoy excellent comfort and advanced support with the GEL-KAYANO® 27 running shoe. The redesigned mesh upper helps keep feet cool, while the sole is more flexible to help promote a more natural roll through the gait cycle. This starts in the heel with added flex grooves that assist in isolating initial impact to force a softer and smoother feeling at footstrike. At midstance, the foot should stop pronating and re-supinate for an efficient toe-off. To help this natural motion, we incorporate DYNAMIC DUOMAX® technology to help support the foot and increase stability for runners whose feet roll inward too much (overpronate). The midsole also integrates SPACE TRUSSTIC™ technology, which provides stability and reduces the overall weight to help promote a smoother transition from foot strike to toe-off. This added stability is complemented by deeper forefoot flex grooves for a smoother roll through toe-off, allowing the shoe to move more naturally with the foot. Lastly, a large section of reflective materials in the rearfoot helps keep runners visible when running in low-light conditions. The GEL-KAYANO® 27 model is an excellent choice for both competitive and noncompetitive runners looking for an everyday trainer that combines comfort with support.

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-KAYANO 27 is made for Neutral and Overpronation.

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total Game Changer Great shoes! Totally lives up to the expectations, my orthopedic Dr. couldn’t say enough good things about them after seeing them, including everyone else in his office, as well it was pointed out that they are really good looking at that, especially for a sneaker that offers this kind of support....I totally agree! very comfortable and cooling allowing the foot to breathe easily through vents!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No hot spots, no blisters, just a comfy run! I have bought the Gel-Kayanos the past few years due to having flat feet. They are awesome and have exceeded my expectations. I get done running, and don't have any hot spots on my feet. Will continue to purchase these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gel-Kayano 27 I really like this shoe, but have been disappointed with the toe/front of the shoe. Since I purchased them last month, a crease has formed on the front of the right shoe that diggs into my big toe. The discomfort is enough that I try to put them on right before, and take them off immediately after a run. But for this issue I’d give them a 5/5

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shoe, Slightly narrow fit. Shoes have a great bounce feel and are comfortable but the fit is a little more narrow than other shoes I have purchased. Otherwise 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for walking all day Nice shoes. Feels good and very comfortable. Not really for running

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overrated These shoes were supposed to assist in dealing with flat feet. What they do is naturally turn your feet inward, so higher risk of rolling your ankle. I’ve rolled both ankles so far in less than a month. The cushion is about the only good thing about this shoe. Not worth the price. And I bought it on sale too
