Neutral, Stability

Designed For Neutral Overpronation

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • Considered Injuries

Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
The GEL-KAYANO® 28 (Extra Wide) shoe creates a stable stride that moves you towards a balanced mindset. Featuring a lower-profile external heel counter, this piece cradles your foot with improved rearfoot support. To improve stability and responsiveness, we added FF BLAST™ cushioning to the midsole. It provides a smooth and supportive feel in each step. The trainer's new GEL® technology shape delivers a smooth stride, allowing you to experience a softer landing without losing speed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Narrow Unfortunately, I cannot give these shoes a good review. I have owned many Asics in the past, and I have loved them. However, I ordered the extra wide, and these are still pretty narrow. They are comfortable to walk in, I only wore them around the house. However, my wife accidentally threw the tags away, so now I am unable to return them because to return them the policy says that you have to have the original tags. Stuck w shoes that don't fit lol

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I have worn Kayanos for over 20 years. These are too short, too narrow for a 4W, and toe box is too narrow and not high enough I even tried 1/2 size up and still not right

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor sizing. Not what they used to be. Have been wearing ASICS Nimbus or Kayano in 10.5 4E for over 15 years. Why does this size no longer fit?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ASICS does it again Perfect fit and super comfortable as well. I have a very bad over pronation and these are the only shoes that don't hurt my feet

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage shoe Garbage shoe that lasted 25 miles. Tread is already worn to bottom of shoe. ASICS warranty says that’s normal. Won’t buy this shoe or any ASICS shoe again. Back to Brooks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It did hurt my heels I used it for my feet, but it hurt my heel. From second shift, I couldn't walk from the pressure. I left in its bag and will return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alittle tight I always order a size 10.5 extra wide but for some reason these were tight. I loved all my ASICS but these were alittle smaller and tighter than expected
