Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the GEL-LYTE™ III OG running shoe, the sneaker emerges once again with its original shape and construction that it featured in the early 90s. Designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1990, the GEL-LYTE™ III OG silhouette incorporates a split-tongue application that was originally inspired by the GEL-LD RACER™ shoe. Reappearing in an assortment of OG colorways, this shoe also features a suede and leather construction. Additionally, the shoe incorporates its signature GEL® technology cushioning unit in the heel to improve shock absorption and help deliver lasting comfort.

One love from
Cool and comfortable shoe, but....I'm a 11.5 and the GEL-LYTE III OG fits perfect. I gave it 3 stars because of the the opening around the ankle. It's as if they forgot to trim or close the top. The interior sponge is exposed and open. It's like having your zipper open and your boxers exposed. The sponge on my show is yellow gold and not white as shown on the website, so it really pops when looking at the shoe. It's like they didn't finish the shoe. Maybe that's the idea behind it due to the interior sole design.

Love the subtle changes.Overall, I am pretty happy with this shoe. I love the little details such as using the tiger stipe logo as lace loops and having that deconstructed look with the exposed foam padding on the collar. Comfort is the same as what you would get from any Gel Lyte III iteration. Their was a little bit of glue stain on my pair around the midsole but not that big of a deal. I would have given this shoe a perfect score if they had chosen more premium materials. I hope ASICS continues with this interpretation of the model, adding better materials and different colors.

Size 13? Could be 15's ....I ordered a size 13 and there's literally 2 sizes of room in front of my toes. They are WAY too large and should not be listed as a 13. I feel like i can fit into a size 11 of this shoe and im very disappointed. I went to work wearing these shoes and felt like a clown because i didn't notice how large they were until i was already at work. These shoes are MASSIVE and need to be looked at, OR i was sent the wrong size...
