The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. ASICS GEL-Nimbus 19 LITE-SHOW is made for under, neutral.
  • OVER
Underpronation (Supination)
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Push Off
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
Considered Injuries
Plantar fasciitis, Shin splints, Ankle strain.
Foot Type
High arches
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
Foot Type
Normal size arches

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoes, but tight toe box. Really great for long runs, mainly on the road. Order a shoe size or half size bigger than you normally do, because the toe box is tight otherwise. I added the superfeet green insoles, which make these shoes perfect for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m guessing that with this would be my fifth or six pair of gel Nimbus’s ,and the first time I put them on ,was at a race .took the tags off ,pulled the stuffing out of a shoebox ,put them on ,and ran a race . I would only attempt this because of my past experiences with the gel numbers .Only thing that I had in question was what seem to be spongy shoelaces. Didn’t have any problems with them in the race but not sure how they were going to hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best running shoes ever! Just run my first marathon with them. I used to use and about a year ago I switched to ASICS and the difference is impressive. I loved my previous Kayano and I love this Nimbus as well. They are way better than any other running shoe!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shoe not the same as internet image. I bought this shoe one cause I like the look (the one portrayed on line). And two I've worn Asics for many years and loved every pair. So when I recieved the shoes I had ordered from the asics web site, they weren't as portrayed on line. To be more specific the sock liner wasn't green as showed online. I called customer service the lady told me send them back and the correct pair would be sent. So I did just that. So when I recieved the second pair and they are just like the ones I sent back, I called customer service again. This time it's a different lady and she says that sometimes the picture online. She put me on hold and when she came back, that's exactly what she told me. The picture online isn't correct and the only way the shoe comes is the way I recieved it twice. So... I chose to keep the shoe cause I needed something to run in. I've had the shoe a few couple weeks. There fairly comfortable to run in. Definitely shouldn't do much walking during your run. I did and it gave me a blister. But over there ok. WISH THEY WERE AS DEPICTED ONLINE!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What My Feet Needed I've been wearing my Nimbus 16s for far too long. These 19s are really great; well cushioned, stable and supportive. I have a high arch and narrow foot so these fit me perfectly. I have to say I'm a little nervous to hear that the 20s have a wider toe box, that won't be good for my fit profile. Another word about fit; I wear a size 11.5 in my Nimbus 16s and Nike running shoes, however, I needed to go up a size to a 12; this is a first but the fit is perfect. They're a very comfortable shoe. Style wise they're a little subdued in the Lite-Show colorway. The iridescent trim is somewhat noticeable in the gym, I'll have to see outside. They're a great looking, highly comfortable and well fitting shoe; what more can I ask for? Buy them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Check Size & check again I own a pair of Nimbus 18s that I enjoy a lot for running and was looking for a second pair as I've had the 18s for sometime. Found the Gel-Nimbus 19 Lite (which means they reflect at night). First thing I noticed trying them on: they run much smaller than prior Asic shoes. I wear a 12 and needed a 13 for a good fit. Asic redesigned the Nimbus line, starting with the 19s, to give a more "glove-like" feel (translation: form fitting, tight) and the toe box is smaller. I liked the look of the shoes but returned them as I did not care for the form or feel of them.
