The standard (medium) width for women is B, while the standard width for men is D. Shoe boxes and labels will only identify widths other than standard. Within the shoes, wide and narrow widths are identified on the label, underneath the tongue — ie. T005N(2E).

When is additional width needed?
Visible stretching or bulging on the outsides of forefoot materials is a good indicator that additional width may be needed. These sizes are available in many of our Running and Training shoes. In some cases, men can wear women’s styles to achieve a narrow fit and women can wear men’s to get a wide. If this is needed, please use the references above to determine comparable size lengths. Please note that the differences of width between narrow, standard, wide, and extra wide are usually only a couple millimeters and are proportional to the size of the shoe. Most additional width will be found in the forefoot.

Push Off
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries

ASICS FluidRide® midsole provides the ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning properties with reduced weight and exceptional durability.

Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Technology Cushioning System

Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

FluidFit® Upper

ASICS FluidFit® upper technology combines multi-directional stretch mesh with stretch reinforcements that adapt to the athlete's foot, creating a truly customized glove-like fit.

Heel Clutching System™ Technology

Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment.

Seamless Construction

Discrete Eyelets

Independently placed eyelets disperse lace tension, creating a customized fitting environment and enhanced upper comfort.

Guidance Line® Midsole Technology

Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.

Guidance Trusstic System™ Technology

This Trusstic System® Technology integrates Guidance Line® construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent Durability This is the fourth pair of the Nimbus 19 model I have purchased. The width of the front half prevents ankle injuries by providing stability on grassy areas, and the cushioning provides for a run that reduces knee pain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impresws Let me start by saying I’ve been running with angel Nimbus shoes now for 7 years and every iteration since version 12. I bough this shoe a month ago and so far not impressed, hoping they break in soon because if not I’ll be trying to get a replacement pair. They’re the same size as my last several pairs but are very tight and are hurting the soles of my feet. So far these have not been a good update for the line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fit I have used ASICS' Nimbus for as long as they've been in existence (I've been running since 1980). I am disappointed in this year's model as they were smaller, tighter than all the previous years. What changed? I threw away the box and mailer because I never had a problem with Nimbus fitting before.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Size Although the same size (according label), they are a bit tighter and smaller than the other purchased Asics men shoes, Gel Nimbus 19....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kind of a let down... I bought these a month ago and had to exchange them from an 8 to an 8.5 which everyone is having the problem with sizing. I bought these to update my nimbus 16 which I love so much. These I feel are not as good. I have been training for a half marathon and at around 7 miles my shins are killing me. Haven’t experienced this pain in my 16’s and it has really made me feel uncomfortable for my half marathon that is 1 month away. I run 3-4 times a day so I knew there would be a break in period but I might just use these as nice gym shoes, use my old pair for the 1/2 marathon and then look elsewhere for a replacement...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe, just needs better styling Very comfortable shoe, just lacks better styling. Other than that a near perfect shoe.
Date published: 2018-03-21
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wrong size and width I love the shoes. Somehow I ended up ordering the wrong size (I was told they ran small) and got a narrow shoe. I have to now chase down printer to get a return label. I wish that had been included. Can't wait to get the right pair and start wearing them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable Nimbus 19 is perfect for me. I plan on doing some light jogging this Spring and this shoe will work just fine. Great for taking daily walks too!
Date published: 2018-03-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only shoe I can run in. After shin splints and then bone micro fractures I'ts been a long way back and I still have a long way to go. This is the only shoe that I have ever run in without pain. Best design ever!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from RUN WAY SMALL... I HAVE ALWAYS WORN A 10 OR 10 AND 1/2. AFTER READING REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING I ORDERED AN 11, IT WAS STILL TOO SMALL.
Date published: 2018-02-26
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shoe runs small. I have been wearing ASICS for years and have consistently worn a 10.5. After reading reviews I ordered a 11.5. Still too small.
Date published: 2018-02-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the 18s These shoes are better designed than the 18s. They are less bulky around the posterior ankle.
Date published: 2018-01-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe As with my other ASICS shoes, these are really fantastic shoes. Very comfortable.
Date published: 2018-01-24
Rated 3 out of 5 by from They run 1/2 size small Apparently this line run 1/2 smaller than other ASICS shoes. Maybe put that on the description to save time/return? Or just make all your shoes consistently sized?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cushion At 67 years young , I really like all the gel cushion this shoe has to offer . Plus it feels really light while I am jogging
Date published: 2018-01-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out of the box great Most comfortable shoe I’ve had in a long time. Colors are great. Bought two more colors just for fun. Shoe uppers, because of the material, will stay cleaner longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shoes I've Owned Fells like you are running on a cloud. Greatest shoes I've owned.
Date published: 2018-01-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read before purchasing! I've gotten these every year for several years in a row. Bought them again this year without bothering reading any reviews. That was a mistake. The sizing is off on the Nimbus 19. It's at least a 1/2 size to 1 size off from my normal shoe size. I can compare it to my past Nimbus and it is a little shorter and narrower than the previous model even though they are the same size. Frustrating since I couldn't return them since I assumed that the same size shoe in the same line of shoes would fit so I didn't bother testing them out before I took the tag off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cushion wore off in 100 miles and laces ripped! I have purchased many Nimbus shoes before and these are terrible. The cushion wore off within 100 miles. To make matters worse, the laces literally ripped apart after about 150 miles. I know they are just laces, but without laces a shoe doesn't work! I'm unbelievably disappointed with this shoe. Just awful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth comfort Have had previous nimbus versions. Only get better every year. Consider this to be great value.
Date published: 2018-01-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Shoe for distance runners I love these shoes. I get about 300-350 miles a pair. Which is good since I go through a pair about once a month. They feel just as good on the last day as the first. Fit is great and consistent from pair to pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel Loved the cushion and the lightness of this shoe . It was more than I expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Asics fan for the longest I wear Asics for exercising and walking ... the new Nimbus 19 feels a bit snug in the toe area, but hopefully they'll loosen up a bit with wear. General construction of the shoe looks very good!
Date published: 2017-12-31
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs more durable inner liner This is the 8th generation of Nimbus that I have run in. Great shoe, but I wish that the liner was more durable, like the earlier models
Date published: 2017-12-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice styling Very nice shoe but it is a little tight in the toe box area. I would recommend a size up.
Date published: 2017-12-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT Overall, great shoe. Super comfortable! I feel like I can run forever with these on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look Little tight around the foot but overall good. Stylish but on the fitting side little uncomfort.
Date published: 2017-12-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from The size was oo small I bought the same style and size a s I had owned for a year and they were too small. Now I'm hesitant to order on line
Date published: 2017-12-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe. Very fast delivery I bought the show during Black Friday. The shipment was very fast. The show is a great product
Date published: 2017-12-11
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shoes seem to run a little small. Increased my size from 10.5 three years ago to 11 when I started running more. I ordered 11 in this shoe and they seem a little small. Maybe they will stretch some and loosen up.
