Run further than you thought possible in the GEL-NIMBUS® 21 running shoe for women by ASICS - packed full of plush cushioning and special technologies to respond to your natural stride. Now with a vibrant new design, it will get you pumped to unleash your inner runner, even when it's grey outside. The GEL-NIMBUS® 21 shoe is fitted with our I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) technology: a construction technique that allows the shoe to respond to your natural gait. TRUSSTIC SYSTEM® technology provides added stability. The upper is made from Jacquard mesh and will fit snugly, allowing air to flow and keep the foot fresh as you run and run. Our famous GEL® technology in the front and rear sole gives you energized cushioning in the form of shock-absorbing silicone for heavy-impact activity. Meanwhile, FLYTEFOAM® Propel technology in the midsole offers excellent bounce and toe-off. This lightweight foam formulation has a special high-energy return elastomer helping to put a spring in your step. Gain even more bounce with our SpEVA insole, which also helps the shoe last. To ensure a great fit, there's an external heel counter which holds your heel firmly, keeping you comfortable as you pound the miles. And we've added an AHARPLUS™ heel plug on the outsole to help you be able to run as long as you want. This ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber is a tough rubber compound used to reduce excessive wear. All of this lets the shoe take the strain so you can concentrate on what matters: your breathing and pace.

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-NIMBUS 21 SP is made for Underpronation and Neutral.

    High arches
  • Push Off

The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sneakers Great pair of sneakers. I suffer with chronic plantar fasciitis and I also have sesamoiditis in left foot. I went from Nike Lunarglide (that are not being made anymore) to these, and I wish I’ve found them sooner. I’m now on my 4th pair (I’ve been wearing them since April ‘19, always get two pairs at once and alternate between days since I wear my sneaks 10+ every day) and I’m hoping they’ll always be available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from will buy again! I bought these in black a couple months ago and they are so comfortable! I highly recommend! I will be buying a pair of lighter colored in this same style!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Shoe I really like these shoes. The toe box is a nice size. It gives plenty of wiggle room for the toes. The cushioning is great. It feels like I'm running on fluffy pillows. I would have liked a few other color options, however. Or maybe just a "dark" option. I'm not usually a bright running shoe kind of person, nor do I like shades of pink. Outside of the not great color selection, I would recommend this shoe to anyone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from '21 not as good as prior years Dedicated to gel nimbus for last several years and naturally I purchased the '21 version. I'm disappointed in the fit. The heel cup is uncomfortable and has been painful and still hasn't been broken in after weeks of running. I'm looking for leftovers of the prior version to get me through the fall races.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not that great! I purchased this shoe a little over a month ago and I will not and do not recommend this shoe to anyone. I normally wear New Balance and decided to step out to a different shoe and this is the very first time I have ever experience swollen arches. This shoe has absolutely no stability at all. I can say they are pretty. However, that means nothing in running or in a group fitness class like Body Attack.
