Run further than you thought possible in the GEL-NIMBUS® 21 running shoe for women by ASICS - packed full of plush cushioning and special technologies to respond to your natural stride. Now with a vibrant new design, it will get you pumped to unleash your inner runner, even when it's grey outside. The GEL-NIMBUS® 21 shoe is fitted with our I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) technology: a construction technique that allows the shoe to respond to your natural gait. TRUSSTIC SYSTEM® technology provides added stability. The upper is made from Jacquard mesh and will fit snugly, allowing air to flow and keep the foot fresh as you run and run. Our famous GEL® technology in the front and rear sole gives you energized cushioning in the form of shock-absorbing silicone for heavy-impact activity. Meanwhile, FLYTEFOAM® Propel technology in the midsole offers excellent bounce and toe-off. This lightweight foam formulation has a special high-energy return elastomer helping to put a spring in your step. Gain even more bounce with our SpEVA insole, which also helps the shoe last. To ensure a great fit, there's an external heel counter which holds your heel firmly, keeping you comfortable as you pound the miles. And we've added an AHARPLUS™ heel plug on the outsole to help you be able to run as long as you want. This ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber is a tough rubber compound used to reduce excessive wear. All of this lets the shoe take the strain so you can concentrate on what matters: your breathing and pace.
Pronation
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-NIMBUS 21 is made for Underpronation and Neutral.

Was good for a few months but.....
I have been wearing Asics for over 15 years and never had a problem like this. I wore these shoes for a few months and they were perfectly fine then all of a sudden the inside fabric on the heels started to pill. I would go to remove my sock and the heels of sock would be stuck to heel of shoe. Then I started getting bad heel blisters on both feet. Couldn't wear anymore. So I made a warranty claim due to the defect. Asics denied my claim, stating improper fit!!!! Are you kidding me??? I've been the same size 10 for over 15 years. Now I'm looking elsewhere for another brand.

You definitely want to go a size up
This shoe actually runs small so I didn’t get to wear them so I definitely have to return for a bigger size . All my shoes normally or a 6.5 but I’m going to reorder a 7 .

Shoe fits great for a narrow heel.
This shoe is great for a narrow heal fit. You can tie the heel in even tighter by lacing the top two lace holes differently. Lace your shoe as you normally do but leave the last two lace holes on the left unlaced. Thread those last two holes to form a loop on the left by lacing under the lacing hole on the left. Then still on the left and after it comes out the top, lace it down in the last hole. It forms a loop on the left side of the shoe in the last two lacing holes. Do the same looping procedure on the right side of the shoe in the last two lacing holes. Now one at a time, take the leftover shoestrings and thread them through the opposite sides shoe loops and pull. Your heel should fit snugly in your shoe.

Great shoe
Great running shoe. I've been buying this shoe line for years. I'm more of a midfoot to toe runner and I find adequate support in the shoe. I do mostly street running and mild terrain and this shoe works good for that.

feet hurt from
Hurt !
I had bought this shoe before and it fit beautifully. However, the second pair hurt the bones in my feet. I bought them for walking shoes and had to buy another pair of another brand after about two weeks. I'd hoped they would stretch out and not hurt my feet anymore but that wasn't the case. I'm not sure why two pair of the same shoe would fit so differently.
