The jogging craze of the 80's moved right on into the 90's, as ASICS introduced the Gelsaga to tailor towards the casual performance trend. Its name stems from the Norse mythology goddess Saga, which translates to the concept of wisdom and its relation to the advanced technical features and aesthetics of the heritage runner. The shoe remains to be a classic in the ASICS Tiger heritage line and is accompanied with the same molded midsole and insole, making it so popular that it sold over one million pairs around the world. Benefits of the Gelsaga: - Molded insole/outsole provide extreme comfort and cushioning. - Lightweight mesh upper for ultimate breathability. - Durable rubber outsole for enhanced traction/support
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-SAGA is made for Neutral.
Normal size arches
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

PromisingThis is my first pair of ASICS, and for the price I’m very impressed. These are very light but still supportive.

Midnight SagaI purchased these because I needed a dark blue sneaker to match some new clothes I purchased. I am so glad I bought this shoe. They look and feel great on my feet. Hardly no break in period. I tried the other ASICS models and in my opinion I think these have the best fit for me. I tried the Gel III and V and both seem very snug compared to the Gel Saga. I also love the soft leather feel. I will definitely buy more colorways in this model if ASICS makes them. If you’re looking for a nice fit, great color, and affordable price, then look no further.
