Designed For Neutral Overpronation

neutralPronation

Neutral

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
overPronation

Overpronation

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • Considered Injuries

Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
The GEL-TRABUCO™ 9 G-TX shoe has been re-engineered from top to bottom to assert itself as an all-around trail pioneer. Rugged and comfortable are the two terms that best describe this trail running shoe. It's for the off-road runner seeking excellent durability, protection, and grip. Additionally, the updated version of our trail shoe is complemented with a GORE-TEX™ upper to help keep feet dry in wet conditions. The advanced comfort comes from the FLYTEFOAM® midsole material that's coupled with GEL® technology cushioning in the heel. Equipped with a DUOMAX® support system that creates a more stable ride, this placement of foam on the medial side of the midsole offers a firmer density that keeps the foot from rotating inward too much (overpronation). The lugged outsole pattern features ASICSGRIP™ rubber while incorporating an uphill and downhill lug pattern on the lateral and medial side of the shoe to improve traction on slippery terrain. Additionally, a rock protection plate helps the outsole stay flexible and shield the foot from abrupt terrain or trail debris. The GEL-TRABUCO™ 9 G-TX shoe is designed to help you fly through the trails with advanced traction both uphill and downhill, while the responsive midsole foam creates better propulsion throughout your off-road recon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most comfy GTX Trail Runners I've worn I worn three other brands' GTX trail runners. Most are tight and I can't wait to get them off. These I can wear all day. Great traction, great support, and comfy! I could do with a little less cushioning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gel-Trabuco 9 G-TX Still breaking in the shoes but so far these shoes feel a bit stiff along the top around the ankle. I have also not been able to get the shoes to feel tight towards the bottom of the laces, yet. I wear them for trial running exclusively which means I have a portion of my run on the streets. Currently I have only logged around 40 miles in the shoes. I broke the shoes in officiating 3 high school basketball games. On the court the shoes felt great but this was an experiment on my part. The traction is great and hope to have the top part of the shoe loosen up

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too tight/Small 9.5 U.S. is my size and sometimes is a little big, 9.5 in these shoes fit like a 8.5, way too tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Fit As with other Asics shoes, these are a good fit for me, a regular size 14. Living in the Pacific NW, I have already tested out the Gore-Tex feature a number of times. My socks and feet have stayed dry as I officiated games in steady rain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If the shoe fits. Good looking shoe, just extremely too stiff and hard for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for refereeing soccer matches in cold/wet!!! I bought these shoes to use when I referee youth soccer matches in cold/wet weather. So far they have done a great job of keeping my feet warm and dry and they are very comfortable as well. I highly recommend them for anyone who want a Goretex shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good; Not Great (Looking for something better) It's a decent stability trail running shoe for overpronators. I had higher expectations of the cushioning, so I gave it 3 stars. More specifically, I find it a little hard on the soles of the feet after a 5-7 mile hike. When these wear out, I will replace them with a different brand.
