Designed For Underpronation Neutral

  • Foot Type

    High arches
  • Push Off

The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Plantar fasciitis, shin splints, ankle strain.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
The GLIDERIDE™ 2 (Wide) shoe is scientifically proven to save energy over the long run. By reducing energy through the phases of the gait cycle from footstrike to toe-off, this running shoe can help you cover greater distances. This season, we wanted to leave the energy-saving properties intact while creating a smoother ride with a better fitting upper. Designed for runners who want to feel fresher for longer durations, this shoe is also a functional choice for recovery runs. This model's width is also wider to provide a more accommodating fit for those with higher volume feet. Improving the fit of the upper, this design features an engineered mesh that provides excellent airflow while adjusting to the natural shape of the foot's motion. Paired with a 3D print, this application also creates targeted support without extra stitching or added weight. Additionally, the shoe's upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions. GUIDESOLE™ technology consists of a curved sole that improves running efficiency by decreasing the load placed on the lower limbs. FLYTEFOAM® technology cushioning is placed on the top layer of the midsole for a soft landing, while the bottom layer of FLYTEFOAM® Propel technology generates a more responsive bounceback. Sandwiched between these two layers in the forefoot is a plate that helps keep the integrity of the midsole. Encouraging an easy forward roll, this motion propels the foot forward to create smoother and more efficient transitions between strides. Additionally, the AHARPLUS™ outsole improves durability and extends the shoe's lifespan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heel Discomfort They are comfortable except in the heel. It feels like the support in the heel is around the outer edge so that by the end of the shift the center of my heel is almost numb and very uncomfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these for long runs and slow easy runs! I love these! I wore the first Glideride but would get a blister on my pinky toe every time. It was miserable. They were very narrow at the top. I am so happy they decided to do a wide for the Glideride2! I had to get the ugly black one's though (sorry - I like color while running) because that was the only option. That is the only thing I don't like. Prefer more color options or at least a color option that is available that is not a boring one. They support well, help with an ankle that is giving me an issue, and make my long runs almost effortless. No hot spots. Great rocker. Feels a bit strange to walk but running is great. Wide enough for me - no issues with rubbing or blisters!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a great look These shoes look dumb on, like elf shoes. The white backs are also weird. I could not pull it off and got confirmation from the young adults in my life. The rocker feature is kind of fun but I don't think it is significant for motion.
