The GLIDERIDE™ 2 NEW STRONG™ shoe is scientifically proven to save energy over the long run. By reducing energy through the phases of the gait cycle from footstrike to toe-off, this running shoe can help you cover greater distances. This season, we wanted to leave the energy-saving properties intact while creating a smoother ride with a better fitting upper. Designed for runners who want to feel fresher for longer durations, this shoe is also a functional choice for recovery runs. This women's exclusive offering is rendered with an energized color palette that's all about empowering women through sports and exercise. Improving the fit of the upper, this design features an engineered mesh that provides excellent airflow while adjusting to the natural shape of the foot's motion. Paired with a 3D print, this application also creates targeted support without extra stitching or added weight. Additionally, the shoe's upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions. GUIDESOLE™ technology consists of a curved sole that improves running efficiency by decreasing the load placed on the lower limbs. FLYTEFOAM® technology cushioning is placed on the top layer of the midsole for a soft landing, while the bottom layer of FLYTEFOAM® Propel technology generates a more responsive bounceback. Sandwiched between these two layers in the forefoot is a plate that helps keep the integrity of the midsole. Encouraging an easy forward roll, this motion propels the foot forward to create smoother and more efficient transitions between strides. Additionally, the AHARPLUS™ outsole improves durability and extends the shoe's lifespan.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GLIDERIDE 2 is made for Underpronation and Neutral.
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Normal size arches
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Engineered mesh upper improves breathability
3D print on the upper improves support
The curved sole design and stiff forefoot of our GUIDESOLE™ technology reduce ankle flexion and provide a shock-absorbent landing zone to lessen fatigue of other leg muscles and increase runner efficiency.
Provides lightweight cushioning
FLYTEFOAM® Propel Technology
ASICS energetic foam formulation that provides supreme bounce thanks to a unique elastomer compound.
AHAR® Plus Outsole
Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber.
Recycled Material Upper
At least 20% of the primary material of the shoe's upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions.

Super ComfyLooking to replace my very old and very beat up Nike's and my husband (who is a runner) suggested I check out Asics. I love these. They are comfortable and take a lot of pressure off of my feet, making it easier to stand or walk for longer even with my bum ankle.

Love Glideride but not this oneI have other pairs of Gliderides but this particular shoe hurts the soles of my feet. Also, the laces are awful! they do not offer as much give as other shoes and I could barely double knot them for a run. Be advised, if you wear them, you cannot return them.
