The GLIDERIDE™ shoe lets you run longer while expending less energy.GUIDESOLE™ technology in this sole is the key function in the GLIDERIDE™ shoe. Here is how it works: Improved cushioning reduces muscle load at foot strike. It does this with a combination of FLYTEFOAM® technology and GEL® technology cushioning. The stiff forefoot and dynamically curved sole increase running efficiency by reducing the movement of the ankle joint. A lower degree of ankle flexion means other muscles, such as the calf, don’t have to work as hard. Too much ankle movement at speed wastes energy. The shoe’s center of mass is closer to the heel, so it’s easier to swing the foot forward. The rolling motion you feel in this shoe actually propels the foot forward for increased efficiency by reducing the forward movement of the ankle. This lets you run farther with less effort. These characteristics give runners an experience unlike anything they’ve felt before. The GLIDERIDE™ shoe with GUIDESOLE™ technology lets you conserve energy for efficient runs. It’s something you have to feel to believe.

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GLIDERIDE is made for Neutral.

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Product Features

  • GUIDESOLE™ Technology
The curved sole design and stiff forefoot of our GUIDESOLE™ technology reduce ankle flexion and provide a shock-absorbent landing zone to lessen fatigue of other leg muscles and increase runner efficiency.
  • Rearfoot GEL® technology cushioning system
Attenuates shock during impact phase and allows for a smooth transition to midstance.
  • FlyteFoam® Midsole Technology
Our FlyteFoam® technology provides exceptional bounce back and responsiveness no matter the distance, utilizing organic super fibers to help reduce packing out that traditionally happens with softer, low density foams.
  • Engineered Mesh Upper
Multi-directional mesh material improves ventilation and stability.

GLIDERIDE is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Cushion I bought this shoe last month and it's the best ASICS shoes for someone like me who has a week right knee. The first day I used it I couldn't believe how much cushion there was every time my foot hit the pavement. I could farther in these shoes and have no pressure to my knee. I highly recommend this shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glide Walker I’m a walker and I love walking in these sneakers. They offer my flat feet great support allowing me to walk at least three miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shoe Like the shoes. The toe space is limited so on longer runs ( above 20 miles) - it has been uncomfortable. Runs a little larger than size states. Otherwise- I like it a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Comfortable Shoe I have ever owned! I originally purchased this shoe because I wanted a good running shoe that wasn't as ugly as some of the other ones made by asics. They are extremely comfortable and overall fit well. I did follow their "true fit" shoe size and it worked well for me. It was 0.5 size bigger than my normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good option for fused ankle Terrific shoe if you are needing a rocker bottom to help walk. I have a fused ankle and these are great! Not as heavy as other rocker bottom shoes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very small These shoes, because of how pointy they are, really pinch your toes! I can't even wear them so waste of money. I already size up in Asics so I guess you'd have to size up two full sizes for this cut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Feet I am a neutral runner (on the heavy side) and during my 1/2 marathon(s) training season (Oct.-Mar.) I can easily log 25-30 miles a week. I've tried many different brands of runners, but keep coming back to ASICS. As as older runner (50+) some days are tougher than others (EVERYTHING hurts), but not with my Glides! Knees, back, hips, feet are good to go in these sweet runners. I am easily prone to blisters (I'm such a neutral runner that when I do get blisters they are mirrored on both feet) but not with my Glides! I am a true size 10 normal width (dare I say a "perfect ten") in street shoes and buy my runners in 10-1/2 and these fit like a dream; snuggle hugs in my heel and arch and then dance floor room in my toes (I hate when my toes touch) with enough toe room at the top for my big toe not to touch the end of my shoe. Gives these a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Narrow toe box A little narrow at the toe box for me but over all a great shoe!
