The GT-1000™ 9 running shoe is the epitome of lightweight comfort that's also a functional style for runners seeking a stable and supportive ride. A combination of FLYTEFOAM® technology and GEL® technology are positioned closer to the ground and in the rearfoot to promote lightweight comfort while reducing the overall shock from impact. A contoured sockliner adds that extra comfortable finishing touch, molding itself to the unique shape of your foot while working in conjunction with a russel mesh upper to provide a structured and personalized fit. Along with a host of advanced technical features to support you through the miles, the GT-1000™ 9 running shoe also sports a more breathable mesh and a versatile design that's easy to pair with your running gear.

Designed For Neutral Overpronation

neutralPronation

Neutral

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries

Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Overpronation

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • Considered Injuries

Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
  • I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) Technology
ASICS design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
  • DuoMax® Support System
A dual density midsole system positioned to enhance support and stability, positioned sport specifically.
  • EVA Sockliner
Removable sockliner that provides cushioning performance.
  • AHAR® Outsole
Acronym for ASICS High Abrasion Rubber. Placed in critical areas of the outsole for exceptional durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I found these. The GT- 1000 9 Is very supportive. I have a flat foot and the arch support works very good with my stride. I put arch supports in them. I do not run anymore. However, I like these so much that my original pair (2 months old), I have turned into my yardwork shoes. The other pair I use as office shoes. So comfortable. Big fan of the Duomax arch system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent economical shoe A little tight but well made shoe. Not as comfortable as the Ziruss but works for short runs and everyday use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good After my first run these felt great. Slightly different from my usual Kayanos but very supporting in the front and seemingly for the overpronation too. It could be imagination but they felt a bit lighter than the Kayanos too. Let's hope this lasts for a few miles as I'm enjoying these. Also, they are beautifully designed... just gorgeous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Comfort but Bad quality Good comfort but quality is getting Bad, the sole is separating in 4 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior fabric Compared to a higher priced Asics running shoe, the get-1000 has cheap fabric that you will run through in a months time. In my case the heel area wore through quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shoes for support Very comfortable and not heavy. They took a few times of wearing for break in because of support not used to. But… that is why I bought them.
