Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GT-2000 7 Trail WIDE is made for Neutral and Overpronation.
Normal size arches
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
Low arches or flat feet.
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
FlyteFoam® Midsole Technology
Our FlyteFoam® technology provides exceptional bounce back and responsiveness no matter the distance, utilizing organic super fibers to help reduce packing out that traditionally happens with softer, low density foams.
SpevaFoam™ Midsole Material
Improves bounce back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown.
Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Technology Cushioning System
Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) Technology
ASICS design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
Guidance Trusstic System™ Technology
This Trusstic System® Technology integrates Guidance Line® construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.
Dynamic DuoMax™ Support System
This evolution of DuoMax® system enhances stability and support, with reduced weight and increased platform support.

Very comfortableI am always looking for a stability trail running shoe. This shoe fits that category very well. I have owned many Asics stability running shoes in the past and they have all been comfortable with a great fit. I have a wide flat foot and need the stability. Buying a 2nd pair of the GT-2000 7 Trail Runner. My one complaint with most running shoes (not just Asics) is that the uppers in the big toe area are not durable at all. I rip the toe out way before any other part of the shoe breaks down.

not too happy from
sneakersbought on line without trying on...not enough padding in the sole..I am not a runner so these will be for general wearing...excellent for bicycling since sole is very firm...I expecting a trail running shoe to have more padding to cushion the impact of trail running...would not buy again...
