Bring bounce to your trail runs with the men's GT-2000™ 7 TRAIL running shoe. Specifically designed to help you go further, this specialized ASICS model is equipped for seemingly endless running, providing guidance and premium comfort every step of the way. Sporting a contemporary, understated design for easy styling and long-lasting appeal, this shoe is jam-packed with advanced footwear technologies. SpEVA 45 foam to the midsole offers incredible bounce-back characteristics, while helping to reduce midsole breakdown to improve foot protection. FLYTEFOAM® Lyte technology brings a supremely lightweight quality for comfort and bounce, allowing the shoe to snap back to its original state after every stride. DYNAMIC DUOMAX® technology brings together two different density midsole materials for smooth overpronation control, by imparting essential firmness to the midsole and arch. If your feet tend to roll inwards you can rest assured the GT-2000™ 7 TRAIL will minimize damage. The molded AHAR® rubber brings a tough quality to the shoe, protecting the outsole's heavy contact areas to reduce excessive wear. GEL® technology strategically placed in the forefoot and rear specialize in your utmost comfort, providing high-density shock absorption and a comfortable fit. Meanwhile, GUIDANCE LINE™ technology enhances gait efficiency for an overall better performance.

Pronation

Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GT-2000 7 Trail is made for Neutral and Overpronation.

Neutral

  • Foot Type

    Normal size arches
  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Overpronation

  • Foot Type

    Low arches or flat feet.
  • Push Off

Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good so far I've put these shoes through some pretty rocky and wet terrain for several hours at a time and so far they've held up well. Very comfortable and light, while also offering great protection and support for my low arches on trails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect trail shoe Over the years I’ve tried several trail shoes. Found this one in 2E recently and had to buy it. It’s perfect for the trails here in Newport Beach and Laguna Canyon. I feel much more confident on the trails. All while getting the stability and support I’ve grown to love with Asics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love all my Asics. Very comfy. I'm not a runner, I just wear Asics because of that...comfort! I have been wearing them for ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Performer GT-2000 7's are my favorite shoe. The Trail edition adds a firmer, heavier sole and thicker laces, but I didn't notice any other differences between the regular GT 2000 7's and the Trail edition. I would love it if the Trail edition had a solid covering over more of the toe box. On rough trails, I find that the mesh sometimes snags the ends of roots that stick up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Hybrid Road-Trail shoes..but need 4E pls A fantastic road-trail hybrid shoes with the perfect blend of 1. Support 2. Cushioning 3. Weight 4. Seamless upper for toe movement 5. Grippy and flexible outer sole However, the only drawback is that it does not come in 4E. If you wear standard width and you are looking for hybrid road-trail shoes, then this shoe is a great choice. I’m a long time 4E Kayano user and would have loved to keep them as my hybrid road-trail/non-treadmill shoes, but I had to return them since the standard width was too narrow for me. Asics, please, please give us this shoe in 4E. Thanks.
