Bring bounce to your runs with the men's GT-2000™ 7 running shoe. Specifically designed to help you go further than you ever thought possible, this ASICS shoe is equipped for big mile runs, providing guidance and comfort each step of the way. Sporting a contemporary yet understated design for easy styling and long-lasting appeal, the GT-2000™ 7 running shoe is jam-packed with advanced footwear technologies. The FLYTEFOAM® technology brings a lightweight quality for comfort and bounce, allowing the shoe to snap back to its original state after every single stride. Meanwhile, the DYNAMIC DUOMAX® technology brings together two different density midsole materials for smooth overpronation control by imparting essential firmness to the midsole and arch. So, if your feet tend to roll inwards you can rest assured that the GT-2000™ 7 running shoe will help to minimize injury. The molded AHAR® rubber then brings a tough quality to the shoe, protecting the outsole's heavy contact areas to reduce excessive wear. GEL® technology strategically placed to the forefoot and rear specialize in your comfort, providing high-density shock absorption and a comfortable fit. GUIDANCE LINE™ technology also enhances gait efficiency for an overall better performance. Whether you're a seasoned runner or taking it up as a new hobby, the GT-2000™ 7 running shoe will help you streamline your performance.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GT-2000 7 is made for Overpronation.
Low arches or flat feet
Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
FlyteFoam® Lyte Technology
ASICS lightest weight midsole formulation that provides continuous cushion thanks to organic nano fibers.
SpevaFoam™ Midsole Material
Improves bounce back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown.
Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Technology Cushioning System
Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.
I.G.S® (Impact Guidance System) Technology
ASICS design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
Guidance Trusstic System™ Technology
This Trusstic System® Technology integrates Guidance Line® construction for enhanced gait efficiency while providing midfoot structural integrity.
Dynamic DuoMax™ Support System
This evolution of DuoMax® system enhances stability and support, with reduced weight and increased platform support.
Guidance Line® Midsole Technology
Vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
Acronym for ASICS High Abrasion Rubber. Placed in critical areas of the outsole for exceptional durability.
SpevaFoam™ 45 Lasting
Employs 45 degree full length SpevaFoam™ 45 lasting material for a soft platform feel and improved comfort.

So comfy, but with structureThese shoes are super comfortable right out of the box. And, nothing is comfortable for me. This is my third pair. They are reasonably durable for running and everyday wear. This gray color is much better in person. It goes with everything. They are the perfect balance of structure and comfort.

Great but inconsistent. These are great shoes. Very supportive and comfortable, in this case after a fairly lengthy breaking in period. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is inconsistency. I bought another pair shortly after getting these and they were comfortable for long periods right out of the box, no breaking in necessary. Same shoe, same size.

The Best Shoe!I have flat feet and ASICS, in particular, their GT-2000 series has been the most reliable and comfortable for me. I’ve tried many different types of shoes but ASICS have been the best. This is my 3rd pairs of ASICS over the last 15 years. I highly recommend. I will ONLY buy ASICS for my running shoe needs.

New but...Worst overpronation shoe I've ever gotten from asics. Been using asics for 14 years as they were recommended by my doc. I have flat feet and these have no arch support. I'm keeping them because I need new shoes for functions but they hurt my feet so bad I went back to a pair I've had for 6 years because they have better arch support even after 6 years.
Fyi, the other pair is gel foundation 8.
They are the best but can't get them anymore.

GTs have gone downhillWhy has Asics changed the GT formula that made them great so many years! I’ve worn ASICS GT series since 2003. That changed with the gt 2000 v6. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, my feet didn’t like that model year. Nope, v7 is the same. THE INTERNAL HEEL COUNTER IS TERRIBLE!! Both shoes rub and irritate my Achilles and make them uncomfortable. I have relegated them to yard duty. Very sad. Please go back to an external heel counter. At least the more expensive Kayano is still available as such. Maybe that was their plan!!
