Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury. -
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.
The MAGIC SPEED™ 2 shoe offers the energy you need to move towards a new personal best. We updated the fit and tooling to make the shoe more versatile for both tempo runs and races. A full-length carbon and TPU plate are sandwiched in the midsole to propel your foot forward. This helps create a smoother and more propulsive rebound during the toe-off phase of your stride. The midsole's top layer is reconstructed with FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning. It helps your stride feel even more propulsive while keeping the shoe lightweight.

Great shoes!! Awesome for any type of run.
Awesome shoe, on the stiffer side but in a good way. Had a long recovery run as my first run in these and was going at a nice smooth pace, felt totally natural. I wear these for everyday runs now changing between these and the Adios 7, and I love how supportive and fast these feel. Definitely looking forward to buying the Magic Speed 3 in the future. Fit true to size and are very breathable.

Magic an reality: a combination for fast trainers
I have use them only for speed workouts. Excellent shoes, comfortable, responsive, also explosive if you keep slow and want to push to max speed suddenly. Looks smaller but fit perfectly. I will never use them to run slow, the amazing cushion only works when you go fast. The heel feels good when you are doing the workout but not during the recovery, I think is the 7 or 8 mm, flatter than more of my speedy shoes. I am sure these shoes will work for a fast 5k to a fast Half in addition to intervals. Too heavy for a marathon in my opinion. Also they are very durable, the grip keeps the same power at least the first 50 miles. Perfect for 300 miles minimum

Fast, specialist tempo shoes
These definitely are not beginner shoes, and absolutely they are not walking shoes, so be aware. They are specialist tempo shoes and they deliver. These shoes are afforded more stability than NovaBlasts and Gliderides thanks to the carbon plate, but require significantly more mindful running technique and awareness of how you place your feet with each step. They start to sing after you speed up your cadence to 180 SPM or more, and I see a measurable improvement in my speed while keeping my heart rate at a sustainable level. The plates of course help in how your feet roll, giving you an edge in speed as compared to running in somewhat more generic trainers. Running in these shoes puts somewhat greater stress on the Achilles tendons. What surprised me is that my recovery time is pretty good with these despite that extra stress, provided I stretch comprehensively afterwards. These shoes will thankfully tolerate some heel striking, more like a safety net, but I would advise against doing that while running in them.

LONG DISTANCES TRAINER
Great for long distance training. On race day switch to your Metaspeed Sky or Metaspeed Edge, depending on your running style. The transition to either race day shoe is seamless and flawless.

Some kind of Magic
I was looking for a tempo trainer/ speed day/ 5k-10k racer, I’ve landed on this shoe. I really like how stable the platform is and it is moderately snappy. It is on the firmer side which is what I like because I don’t feel like I am collapsing into the shoe. It is very stable without being a stability shoe. It is light as well. Overall I highly recommend this shoe. The outsole runner is super grippy on many surfaces.
