Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The NOVABLAST is made for Underpronation and Neutral.

    High arches
  • Push Off

The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.

  • Foot Type

  • Push Off

There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • How your foot contacts the ground

The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Everyday Trainer Super great running show (so far) I only put in about 15 miles on them but they’re extremely comfortable on foot. I usually wear a 10 1/2 but was recommended by ASICS to size half down. So I went with a 10 and I’m glad I did. I have only 2 complaints. 1) the heel could be locked in a little better. I lace them pretty tight and I have no issue but you might find they slip off the back a little too much even with sizing a half down. 2) the tongue is not gusseted so you’ll have to make sure it’s not bunched up every time you lace up. Not a deal breaker, but having it gusseted would just be better all around. I was kind of hesitant because I heard very mixed reviews on these but they’re a fun and different running shoe for ASICS. Also some more stability in the shoe would be nice but I think it’s just the way I run that I prefer extra stability. I rotate between these and the Brooks Glycerin 12 (which are like tanks on the feet) so this light shoe breaks up the monotony. Definitely no regrets in the purchase though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Daily Trainer I have number of daily trainers (New Balance, Nike, Hoka) but the Novablast has moved to the top of the list. I'm an older runner, so I want sufficient cushion to make my long runs easier. This fits the bills and is relatively light. The outsole appears to be long-lasting, and the upper shows little to no wear. What a great shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Nice Bounce, Only for Underpronators My go to running shoes are Nimbus and Cumulus and I decided to get these to get a lighter shoe. First I could tell these are set for underpronators. I wear heavily on the outside of the heel, and I could tell during my run that I was rolling from to back of the shoe closer to the inside of the foot. If you are an overpronator, it is not for you. There is some heel slip, and I will have to correct it with changing my laces to heel lock set up. I did feel that bounce during the run and they felt light. The rubber sole is thin, so I am going to use these for long runs and not as my regular running shoes. It was interesting on my walk home after my run, I felt like the shoes were doing all of the walking. The rocking shape felt like my feet wanted to go forward and with less effort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warranty Issue - Novablast Delaminated Purchased the Novablast in November of 2020, and the sole has delaminated from the upper after only 80km. Contacted Asics Warranty department on Dec. 31/20 as well as the customer service department and to date had not heard back from either of them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Worst quality laces I've ever used and I get disgusting blisters on the back of my foot. Other than that, I think they have the potential to become great shoes.
