Polyester production from recycled PET (rPET) bottles emits less CO2e and uses fewer fossil resources than traditional polyester production. This process encourages the recycling of used plastic bottles instead of virgin plastic.
At least 70% of the GEL-QUANTUM 360™ VIII shoe’s main upper* is made with polyester fabric from recycled PET.
Bio-based materials are intentionally made from substances derived from living (or once-living) organisms. These natural resources can be drawn upon to create fabrics for textiles or compounds for sole components. Sugarcane and cellulose nanofiber are some examples.
The NIMBUS MIRAI™ shoe features FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning, which is made with at least 20% bio-based materials.
