I’ve been active for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family moved between countries, and sports — especially running — became the one constant that always made me feel at home. I competed in sprinting for many years (100m, 200m, 400m) and even reached national championship podiums in Sweden before a foot injury ended that chapter.
My passion for running came back unexpectedly through an OCR race my brother signed me up for. That led me into distance running, and eventually to the half marathon — the distance where I feel truly myself. It’s where I get to combine speed, strategy, and the joy of pushing my own limits.
Today, at 52, I’m still improving and still reaching championship podiums. I love chasing progress and proving that performance has no age limit. At the same time, running is what keeps me balanced. With a demanding job, three teenage daughters, and supporting one of them who lives with type 1 diabetes, running gives me structure, clarity, and calm. My five-year run streak has become a daily ritual that grounds me.
For me, ASICS’ philosophy Sound Mind, Sound Body is not a slogan — it’s exactly what running gives me. Strength, focus, wellbeing, and the ability to show up as my best self, both in sport and in life.
That’s why I run — and why I’m proud to represent ASICS.
