ASICS What's New in the GT-2000ℱ 15 Shoe

What's New in the GT-2000ℱ 15 Shoe

July 1, 2026

Since it first launched in 2012, the GT-2000ℱ running shoe series has continued to blend stability, comfort, and versatility for daily training. Sitting alongside the bestselling GEL-KAYANO¼ series, it's a staple for runners who want a responsive, energetic feel with plenty of support. The new GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe carries that legacy forward with reduced weight, improved cushioning, and a more energetic ride.

Why choose a stability shoe?

Some runners experience overpronation when they run, which means they land on the outside of the heel and roll inward with each step. Stability shoes can help guide your stride forward with each step, resisting excessive movements that could lead to discomfort while running.

The new GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe utilizes our 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEMℱ, a premium stability technology that uses advanced geometry to guide the foot forward from landing through toe-off for a smooth, supportive ride.

What’s updated (and what’s familiar) in the GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe

As part of our kaizen design philosophy — a Japanese term meaning "continuous improvement" — the GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe builds on the GT-2000ℱ 14 shoe's design with key updates designed to enhance comfort, feel, and energy return.

What’s updated:

  • Lighter weight with more cushioning: the GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe reduces weight while increasing total stack height compared to the GT-2000ℱ 14 model.
  • Enhanced energy return: the shoe's midsole features an updated FF BLASTℱ MAX foam that improves bounce while maintaining the same stable ride.
  • New engineered woven upper: updated for a secure, breathable fit that adapts to the foot’s natural movement.

  • 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEMℱ stability: a trusted support technology designed to guide the foot forward and help resist overpronation.
  • Signature Trampoline Pod: inspired by our BLASTℱ SERIES, the forefoot trampoline pod construction helps create a more energetic and responsive ride.
  • PureGELℱ technology: designed to provide shock absorption and soft, cushioned landings every time.
  • Everyday versatility: like previous iterations, the GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe is crafted to be a dependable daily trainer for a wide range of distances.

Choosing between these two stability trainers comes down to personal preference. The GT-2000ℱ 15 shoe provides a lighter, more nimble feel that combines reliable support with a responsive ride. By comparison, the GEL-KAYANO¼ 32 is a heavier shoe focused on high stability and plush comfort –– ideal for runners who want a more supportive, cushioned ride.
