The GEL-PULSE™ 17 shoe is designed to provide the comfort you need for runs, the gym, and anything in between.
To improve the underfoot cushioning experience, we added 2mm of foam to the midsole. This cushioning material is composed of our FF BLAST™ and GEL® technologies, for a soft and comfortable running experience.
- Engineered mesh upper - A mesh material that reduces the need for additional overlays
- FF BLAST™ cushioning - Midsole foam that provides a blend of cloud-like cushioning and a responsive ride
- Rearfoot GEL® technology - Shock-attenuating material placed in the midsole of the shoe for cushioning and shock absorption
- AHARPLUS™ heel plug rubber - ASICS' pinnacle high abrasion resistant rubber located in the heel area that is approximately three times more durable than standard outsole rubbers
- The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology
Designed For Neutral/Underpronation
Neutral
Foot Type: Normal-size arches.
Push-Off: You experience even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries: Getting hurt is less likely due to effective shock absorption, but not impossible.
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground: Your foot lands on the outside of the heel and then rolls inward, absorbing impact on the body.
Underpronation
Foot Type: High arches.
Push-Off: The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
Considered Injuries: Plantar fasciitis, shin splints, ankle strain.
How Your Foot Contacts the Ground: The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
