Schalk Brits's fairytale return to international rugby will be complete at the ground he made his Test debut on more than a decade ago.

The Springboks complete their three-Test series against England at Newlands in Cape Town on Saturday, June 23.

Brits, schooled at Paul Roos Gimnasium, and a former Lions and Stormers player, moved to the United Kingdom 10 years ago and became one of the greats to play for Saracens.

He has been hailed in the UK as the best overseas signing in the professional era.

Brits, 37 years-old, retired a month ago after helping Saracens win the English Premiership.

He was lured out of retirement by Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus, who believes Brits can play a crucial mentoring and playing role the build to the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

Brits leads a potent substitute's bench after Erasmus made five changes to the side that beat England 23-12 in Bloemfontein to secure the series.
