ABOUT ME

I've been a runner for as long as I remember, starting in cross country at secondary school in Dublin, but I only took it a bit more seriously in 2001 to help me rehabilitate a knee injury. Running plays an important role in my life. It gives me a focus, helps me manage anxiety, stress and allows me to stay fit and healthy so I can run around after my gorgeous energetic sons. I'm passionate about promoting a healthy balanced approach to running so that we don't add training stress to life stress

MY BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENTS

The greatest achievement of my life has got to be choosing to leave my career as a Uni Lecturer so I can spend time more time with my family and live according to the lifestyle that I believe makes me feel optimal both physically and mentally. My greatest achievement as a runner has got to be completing my first Ultra Marathon in 13h22mins - I think Ultras suit my 'forest gump' physiology (slow and steady).
